Interesting to see that Chris' focus/taste are essentially the same as when he started the label. If you aren't pushing at the boundaries or stretching a little don't waste my time.
The best Orthodox black metal album of all time, finally released on vinyl today The book of the heretic, by Countess
do you even know what that term means? go back to the list I posted upthread, there's hardly any "kvlt" {ps, that's how it's spelled originally} in there.
A split out today on CD and vinyl but not yet bandcamp. I didn't care for the Ruins songs. TRACKLIST: 1: The Ruins Of Beverast - The Grand Nebula Pause, https://youtu.be/MQB25g0RDNU 2: The Ruins Of Beverast - Hunters, https://youtu.be/hX6T77PS5sQ 3: Almyrkvi - Asomatous Grove, https://youtu.be/TI21UBj1dfo 4: Almyrkvi - Managarmr, https://youtu.be/zTPmyq6ocCA I liked the Almyrkvi songs a lot more.
This Gloom Immemorial is a pretty cool set, I didn't realize when I ordered it that it was a box set with swag in it. I just thought it was a cd with all their split songs on it.
Continuing tales of the effectiveness of humour. I arrive at the electronics store to see the lone open door blocked by a table with a debit machine. It was order online and pick-up only! So I say to the two employees "so how come no one read my mind and phoned me at home to let me know the situation?" They chuckled and took the time to look up what I wanted and went and got it.
If anyone is in need of a traditional metal palate cleanser the new one from Sorcerer is out today. This could be my Crypt Sermon for 2020.
I'm happy that I got an email from Barnes & Noble saying that out local store is open now. I've missed browsing the books, mags, vinyl, cds, and dvd/blurays. Our Best Buy is still either curbside pickup or appointment shopping only.
I tried, but the production, especially the bass tone, nope, can't do it. Maybe I should change my name to Unkvlt because I certainly like some (but not all) of those bands better than what you posted.
I dont know if it makes you kvlt or unkvlt, because that's a stupid label to begin with that has long since been co-opted; but I would say that if you find yourself and your tastes aligning with a neckbeard hipster scene tourist , that certainly speaks volumes. funny note: complaining about production levels not meating your predefined standards is actually what supposed "kvlt"er than thou listeners supposedly do. notice who is doing it here: you, not me.
Your view of my tastes in music are meaningless to me, I was merely stating that the production of this album you posted made it unlistenable to me. Please feel free to post more music though as I liked some of the bands from your previous list. That would be meeting, not meating (though meating is potentially more appropriate in this thread ). I thought kvlter than thou types are of the lo-fi or nothing sorts? Anyway... I'll check out any music you suggest, it just may or may not not fit my neckbeard hipster scene tourist tastes.
Filling a prescription for a mind expanding video. Not sure if this a bad trip or not. I remember this band's last album a year or so ago and it was too out there for me. This is actually more accessible and worth a look once at least for their doing something unique. Jul 31
that was quite a weird error, I think phone autocompleted it, there's no way I could have typo'd that. with that said, yes "kvlt"ists say anything with production better than X is not listenable; you are saying anything with production less than Y is not listenable. 2 sides of the same coin Anyways, in memory of BlackGoat and the amazing Countess albums he released.
