Yeah I have 1 episode left and aside from a couple overly ridiculous episodes my wife and I have found it to extremely funny. I feel like it's been more consistent than the last animated season. I like how the theme to most episodes is simple like how the old ones used to be in that it centers on the Boys needing some reason to quickly earn a lot money (IE Bubbles and his kitty bill at the shelter) and then the ridiculous things that follow. The two that have deviated from that basic plot device have been noticeably weaker.
They kind of lost me last season when they went into space. I understand they can do more with animation but I did not care for that episode at all. Will get around to watching this one when my current watch list winds down.
Although I've been aware of the show since the beginning, I've only been getting into it as of this week. It's not nearly as stupid as I'd originally thought nearly two decades ago, and it's kind of subtle in some ways, like with Ricky's constant malapropisms. I wonder if there is that much gunplay in Nova Scotia trailer parks, though.
Ha that's awesome. It's sad that I know some of Bubbles's kitties' names. My favorite one has to "Gary Laser-eyes" haha.
So, any of you know an Irish show called Hardy Bucks, currently available on Netflix? It was influenced by Trailer Park Boys, and indeed plays very much like TPB moved from a Canadian trailer park to an Irish town. Anyone who’s been comfort-watching TPB but could use a change of pace should check it out. Although be advised you might need subtitles.
No, but willing to check it out! Still have to catch up on the latest TPB animated season but I'm more interested in live action than cartoon so this might fit the bill.
Trailer Park Boys Actress And Comedian Candy Palmater Is Dead At 53 My chronic asthma has caused my heart to swell. Because it’s rare I feel they are all kind of nerding out on it which is great. An angiogram and a biopsy to go…Thank you to the nurses, assistants and all the care givers at St. Michaels Hospital for taking such tender care of me. And finally to YOU for all your notes and posts and words of kindness. When you say things like “we need you”, as a childless woman, it warms the very marrow of my heart to feel needed in some way! All this to say thank you AND life is beautiful. ❤️
- "Next Message! BEEEEP!" - "Julian?! Mr. Lahey here! Wanted to talk to you aboot a couple things: gunshots, the reprobate living in the kehrr in front of your trailer...and oil leaking from said kehrr. I'll come by real soon, Julian--all the best!" I totally understand why Snoop Dog and Tom Arnold did not want to leave the pehrrk--and why Sebastian Bach has Ricky & Julian on speed dial. Furthermore, Nova Scotian English dialect is absolutely fantastic--wildly entertaining show, and the late John Dunsworth as "Mr. Lahey" walks away with the whole thing. - siyt
