It isn't just cds. Unfortunately Amazon does not do a good job of collapsing multiple listings for the same item into one. On the one hand, maybe this is good because if they did automatically merge duplicate listings they would probably make mistakes and end up merging a standard issue cd with an audiophile edition. On the other hand, sometimes it's obvious that there are many third-party listings for the same item and it is more difficult for a potential buyer to look for the lowest price for an item when there are multiple listings.

Amazon listings are just awful. I think cds and dvds and blu-rays are a very small proportion of Amazon business these days.

Add the listing of third party sales to the top of the pile, it's no longer a pleasure to browse on Amazon :(

There seems to be a lot of bootlegs and unofficial CDs on Amazon.

Lately, their CD prices have bounced up and down even more than ever, it seems.

I avoid Amazon because of the way they treat their employees. I use eBay to help Americans get paid during the pandemic. I understand people get paid in directly through Amazon but I still don't like the company.

Algorithm has gone haywire. Loads of used discs for hundreds of dollars that can be found elsewhere for under $20 or even cheaper.
