Undoubtedly true. Maybe to the OP there are particularly stark differences between the seniors in advertisements vs. the average real life seniors.

I don't necessarily agree, but I can understand that. The key difference might be that when we see ads with typical advertising younger people, even though we know they are hyper-idealized, part of us thinks that real people in those age groups still have time and the physical abilities to better their lives and be more like those ideal people, whereas real seniors are living with the harsher realities of their bodies breaking down, their friends dying, and their own fast-approaching mortality.

Don't mean to be Mr. Downer here, but I think maybe that's why senior ads strike some viewers as excessively positive and rosy.

When these ads come on, I enjoy pretending the drugs are named after lesser-known DC Comics supervillains...

I bet there is a ton of padding in the wheel barrow, or more likely a modified chair with a back support (like the type you take in a boat or to the bleachers at a stadium).

Then it took four or five people to help her in and out of that position.

The wheelbarrow is most likely supported up at that height out of view (or retouched later).

How about mesothelioma and mesh implants?
And incontinence products delivered to your door in plain brown packages?
Or catheters? "I know pain and I don't want any more of it!"

You know those commercials for A Place for Mom? I mean, come on, what the hell? No one gives a crap about Dad. Let him rot in his crummy condo. Or we just assume he's dead? Or he's gonna be dead soon enough, so we better get Mom set up somewhere nice? Or is this the sneakiest way ever to get Dad's to talk their kids into moving them there to be with a ton of hot senior babes?

This reminded me of my favorite National Enquirer headline. "Woman gives birth to triplets, one white, one black & one chinese".

I’ve been to this casino quite a few times (Mainly for concerts.). I’ve never come across anyone like this. It’s usually filled with older, depressed looking folks with a drink in one hand and a cigarette in the other. And the place is full of smoke.

I never really followed football. But I think Broadway Joe does a good job. Selleck comes across as a bit lofty. IMHO

Have you seen the Silver Care Insurance final expense commercial with the elderly lady in a hospital bed, her grown kids beside her, saying, “When my time comes I’m so glad you’ll be taken care of. When I called there was no pressure.” The kids are relieved.

    Yay!

I kinda' like watching some of these senior citizen marketed commercials just to see which actor is still alive and working as a spokesman...currently kinda' suspicious when I keep seeing Tom Selleck protesting too much by being overly "explainy" about reverse mortgages not taking your house and then implying something's going to happen after you leave which means when you die or are forced into an assisted living facility. That's when Tom cuts it short and emphasizes "No one is going to take your house"! Like we should all trust an actor knowing all the in's and out's of owning property after what happened during the housing bubble. Yeah, uh-huh DUH!

Besides senior citizen commercials are the only way for me to gauge what I have to look forward to in finding what qualifies as an attractive 70 year old hotty. I'm surprised how good looking some of these ladies are but then they'll probably peg me as a loser seeing I'm not living in an upscale gated condo convalescent center. Freakin' self centered 80 year old valley girls. It never ends even into old age.
