Prizzi's Honor, Blood Simple, Body Heat, Raising Arizona, Throw Mama from the Train, Princess Bride, Runaway Train, Arthur and Eight Men Out are some of my favorites from the 80's. The movies I've seen repeatedly from that decade are BODY HEAT and National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.

One of the best films of any decade.

I wouldn't say it's a great move - but I did like it and I'd watch it again. And it starts the incredible Lance HEnriksen!

I agree it benefits a lot from its backwoods setting.

I find Raiders and Back to the Future to be perfect films, pure entertainment and high level artistry from start to finish.

Have you ever seen the alternate ending for this?
It's so stupid I thought it was a piss take but apparently it's for real.
The agents arrest the bad guy but due to their illegal activities in the investigation they are both transferred to Alaska to do some menial police work !

Yeah, I got the Special Edition DVD the day it came out. That ending would have been terrible.

As it stands, the ending is exactly right.

More films should do that. Not everything needs a wrapped-up, neat, happy ending.
