Oh okay great.... I use to fumble with different speakers before. I picked up here and there and ended up giving it away for free to relatives. I shouldn't have done that....

Hey man just side track a bit.. I need an excellent /media player can play flac and alac/streamer internet radio/ rack mount that has RCA output to plug in to the primaluna or similar amp sound. I need an extra one to complete my 2nd setup. if its has a DAC built in great. $550.00 max.. Or am I dreaming...:bdance:

No speaker at this price point (or any price point?) is going to do everything right, so you'll need to prioritize what's important to your enjoyment.

Dang. Instant disqualifier, for me. Speakers gotta have wide dispersion. I had Magnaplanars for about a month, once upon a time ... I'd get up to go anywhere else in the flat, and invisible gnomes would seemingly throw wool blankets over the speakers. Unacceptable.

Yeah they were gone just before 4pm - maybe a lot earlier than that.

To clarify, I did get a pair! Pretty excited.

The sale lasted less than an hour and a half. I ordered a pair. If they don't work out I'll probably try Tekton speakers. The Perfect SET would probably be my choice.

I'm guessing the Zus' will sound a lot brighter than the Lintons ...

I bet you're right, at least the Zus will prob be a lot more detailed ... I'm GUESSING the Zus would prob pair well with a tube amp, Lintons maybe better with SS? I'm starting to drool thinking about an A21 and some Lintons ... may be in my future.

OP glad you got some Zus! Look forward to reading your impressions. Might take a while to break in ...? If you want to stick with SS and not spend big bucks, maybe a Marantz integrated amp might be a good match. They seem to be a skoch on the 'mellow' side and not super-bright/detailed. Otherwise ... maybe something with tubes in it. I bet lots of folks here can give advice on an amp upgrade, which seems to be a good next 'step'.

I had both. I sold my DW in 4 weeks, it is not just my style of presentation. Today I owe a pair of Lintons.

I have owned ZU DW Omens, I got them directly from US to Hungary. Initially I was very exited, however I decided to sell them after 1 month to a guy lives in greece. The sound signature was simply not my taste. Since 3 weeks I am listening to Lintons and sofar I am very pleased with the sound.

I've got a pair of Dirty Weekends coming in January (they have open orders right now). Went with the Jupiter Copper Capacitor upgrade with the goal to make it more relaxed than the stock version. I'll be pairing these a with Vincent Pho-701 phono and Peachtree Nova 150. I'm excited to get these up and running.
