I get what you mean, but really it's a pretty odd grab bag of a list. I would never have expected the soundtrack to Grease to be one of the bestselling albums of all time.

Abbey Road and Sgt Pepper, which I listen to.

And Dark Side of the Moon, which I don’t.

I used to have Thriller and The Immaculate Collection: dumped the former and don’t know what happened to the latter.

I've owned many of them through the years in various formats, but the only one I currently own is Madonna's Immaculate Collection on CD.

I've got a funny feeling that Celine Dion would have more votes if shelves at thrift stores were being polled.

I've 6, which is more than I was expecting. One was a gift, and I don't think I've ever spun it more than once (sorry Bruce).

I own seven, but only four of those do I listen to regularly and actually consider great albums.

I am very surprised GnR's Appetite For Destruction is not on the list, before I opened the thread I was sure that would be one of the few I actually owned on the list!

    23. I’ve been collecting vinyl for most of my life, so I have all of them except the two Celine albums.

    A better question would be
“How many of these albums have you purchased?” My number would be lower, but I’d never be able to recall if The Bodyguard was given to me, or if I paid $1 at a thrift store. I’m sure that most of the soundtracks came for free

I am well aware that even before I became old and completely out of touch with popular music, my tastes were at variance from most people's. Even so, this is a really surprising list for me. I had no idea AC/DC were so popular, or that so many people bought soundtrack albums, or that Jagged Little Pill was that big a deal, even though it's the only record in the list I own.

    Sgt. Peppers
    Abbey Road

Not much chance that I would ever get any of the others, except possibly Jagged Little Pill and 1.

Nine out of 25. Didn't count a couple that made it to my collection due to marriage. Those would be Saturday Night Fever and Rumors. Proud to not own Born In The USA.

And now I can cross Come On Over off the list since I now have both versions on CD.
