My latest arrivals since my last posting.: All About Eve / Bruce Lee's Greatest Hits / The Cameraman / Destry Rides Again / The Golden Age Of Television / The Great Escape / Magnificent Obsession / Now, Voyager / The Seventh Seal / Showboat / The Story Of Temple Drake / The War Of The Worlds. Bruce Lee's G.H. & War Of The Worlds are pre-orders & will be in my library this month.
Additions from this past week: All That Heaven Allows / Brief Encounter / Fail Safe / Hoop Dreams / Only Angels Have Wings / Ride With The Devil / The Killing / Tunes Of Glory. Looking forward to getting more soon.
I am so happy today to add these four new titles to my library. Ace In The Hole / The Breaking Point / Do The Right Thing (Special Packaging) / The Wages Of Fear.
Watched Destry last night. Fun movie but Marlene Dietrich is such an odd presence. I sure do like the way these old BW flicks look on Blu-ray though.
A few others mixed in here and there, however I sold off twice as many as this a few years ago because of overcrowding. And the advent of Filmstruck/Criterion Channel it worked out well. Those Pappy Van bottles have water in them a keep everything in place.
Woah that's pretty awesome. I hope you got to empty those Pappy Van bottles yourself. That stuff ain't cheap.
Pickup recently War of the Worlds, Bruce Lee:His Greatest Hits, Come and See, The Fugitive Kind, Marriage Story, Wildlife, The Lady Eve, All About Eve, Holiday, The Prince of Tides, Fail Safe
Thanks and I did not share a drop of the Van Winkle. There is a second 12 year right behind the one in the picture. I think that they are too cool not to repurpose I just haven’t been able to come up with something better.
My final additions to my library. The Awful Truth / Come & See / The Lady Eve / Leave Her To Heaven / Odd Man Out / They Live By Night. Now looking forward to November's sale. Watched "They Live By Night" last night & it was awesome!!! Very highly recommended!!!

I know none of this matters, and I only posted the list above because I figured I'll never be able to add to it anymore, but I'm ashamed (almost) that I forgot this: that this was, is, Criterion: The Golden Age Of Television. With my favorite moment ever on TV, (does one call it a movie? A program?) the original version of Requiem For A Heavyweight. Watching A Streetcar Named Desire got me wondering what else I'd seen Kim Hunter in (also in The Comedians). My favorite and I forgot. Ha! This should really be on Blu-ray, if they're able to. Also with the original versions of Patterns, Marty, No Time For Sergeants, The Days Of Wine And Roses, and Bang The Drum Slowly. This set is a treasure trove of some of the finest stories and acting ever seen on television.
My latest additions as of 5/4/21: A Matter Of Life & Death / Bamboozled / Barry Lyndon / Broadcast News / Elephant Man / Ghost Dog / The Gunfighter / Holiday / In Cold Blood / The Irishman / Kes / The Killers / Lady Snow Blood / Local Hero / Moonstruck / Mullholland Drive / Parasite / Rolling Thunder Revue / When We were Kings / Young Mr. Lincoln. Already got my list ready for the next B&N 50% Sale too.
Nice. You've got The Killers - one I've been meaning to buy for a while. And speaking of sales the collection is 30% off for all of May... Only on their website, though. I don't think B&N is participating in this promotion. Check with your local store.
My latest acquisitions since my last posting here.: 45 Years / The Before Trilogy / Blowout / Brute Force / Dance, Girl, Dance / Down By Law / Fast Times At Ridgemont High / Five Easy Pieces / The Furies / History Is Made At Night / The Honeymoon Killers / Inside Llewyn Davis / Merrily We Go To Hell / The Naked City / The Parallax View / Pickup On South Street / Sullivan's Travels. More on the way!
Added Godard's Made In U.S.A. and Roeg's Insignificance, and watched Belle Du Jour (or about 3/4s of it anyway) streaming that comes with a movie channel package. I mostly buy used if the price is reasonable.
I think I only currently have A Hard Day’s Night and The Princess Bride, though I have quite a few others on my list
