My Jazz collection wasn't that big before this sale started so I cleaned out most of the Blue Note releases Most of these suggestions are quite good in case you don't own 'em already: Black and Proud – uDiscover Music Jazz It Up – uDiscover Music Blue Note – uDiscover Music
Nick Drake Five Leave Left (LP only, not the box) is back! Scored a copy for $11.77 shipped! (Please tell me that this pressing doesn't suck.... ) Nick Drake - Five Leaves Left LP – uDiscover Music Also, what is the story with the 'Awards Points'? When I log in to my account and there does not seem to be any link or reference to said points.
Wow, really?! Damn I literally placed an order 4 minutes ago and when I looked on the Nick Drake page, it had both of them listed as Sold Out! Ugh! Guess I’m heading right back... thank goodness for the Free Shipping! EDIT: well it still reads Sold Out, so it looks like you snagged the last one! Congrats!
been debating doing that on its own order, but usually if you wait it out these sets become stupid cheap.
Agreed—this is the first big Stones set I’ve preordered, gotten the others I wanted dirt cheap. But I also figured 45% off list is probably about as cheap as I’m likely to find it later anyway, give or take a few bucks, plus free shipping. So I splurged.
Looks like the sale ended early. The discounts were supposed to run through 7/31 but all the prices have gone up 25% now.
the sale went off as I was checking out, so I trimmed the fat and used my accumulated points for $20 off two seperate orders... $34 out of pocket
The two Coltrane Verve Acoustic Sounds titles still shows the discount - I'm teetering on ordering because it's so far out to get charged now (but I guess it's only $50) and I also worry about delivery being delayed from uDiscover vs an Acoustic Sounds or Amazon. But tough to imagine a better deal than 25% then 20% off. EDIT: They also now have the Louis Armstrong/Oscar Peterson title w/discount. Don't need the Getz/Gilberto since I have the 2x45 so going to order that title, then place second order for the Coltranes. Screw it - deal is too good.

I got a couple of emails from them on albums I preordered with September release dates, and the headline was something like “Your order is coming soon!” But it was really like a marketing email, so it was just kind of odd considering these titles won’t ship for more than a month. Also weird is I have orders in with them due to ship in August, but no such emails for those. Oh well, no big deal as long as they ship on time and with no damage!
FWIW I ordered a Blind Faith LP on 7/21, received a shipping notice with tracking info on 7/25 and out for delivery + delivered notifications yesterday. The LP arrived factory fresh in one of the ‘frustration-free’ shippers like the ones Amazon typically used to use. I’ll report on the pressing once I have a chance to clean it up.
They package very well. I received Tom Petty Studio Albums Vol 1 Vinyl Box yesterday and it shipped on a very sturdy box with no damage. Also happy it came UPS, no Media Mail slog.
I also got the half speed master Blind Faith. It was clean and low static out of the sleeve and plays great.
If that is the version that includes Brussels Affair, it is a great deal IMO. I passed on that because I already have Brussels on vinyl, as part of an expensive Ward Records (Japan) set I picked up a couple years ago. I went for the 2LP version of GHS that includes the 2nd lp with alternate tracks and unreleased songs.
Yup, I cancelled the version you mentioned that I had ordered via Amazon as for about $40 extra I was able to acquire the 2LP set along with Brussels. Never heard it before, but just about everyone raves about it so it seemed to be the logical choice for me.
