Every time I hear 'we gone rock n roll all night long' by Fats Domino I get a thrill. Also, Big Joe Turner singing the chorus to 'Shake, Rattle and Roll'. Anybody else? What lyrics really thrill you?

The lyrics that give me a thrill last for the whole of Annie's song which I think is a beautiful song. Vincent & Where do you go to my lovely also get me the same way. As does "The Rose" & "The Wind Beneath My Wings".

Yeah I'll second 'Vincent'. The first time I heard that one I got goosebumps. I think it was because my Dad told me that the song reminded him of me. Awwww

More like the part of the song that gives you an indescribable sensation. Really moves you for instance, or in the case of my first two examples above, makes you think 'he!! yeah!!!'

There was a movie made about Elis in 2018. I highly recommend it, regardless of what Rotten Tomatoes says.

The last notes that Elis hits in that trailer are thrilling to my ears. Big time.

To me, sometimes, it isn't even the lyric. It's the emotion! Little Richard has several songs with outstanding emotion that will make the hair stand up on your neck. So good!!

    Aww!

That's how I felt when I 1st heard Annie's song with the words "You fill up my senses like a night in the forest, like the mountains in Springtime, like a walk in the rain."

I always loved this line in Warren Zevon's Werewolves of London:

"Saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic's. His hair was PERFECT"

Those are great lyrics for sure. I've been listening to the Carpenters a lot lately while working on the different album polls here on SHF. The first track on their 1974 album 'A Song For You', when Karen sings 'And when my life is over...'

    Goosebumps!! (especially during these times)

    Definitely.

Talking about the Carpenters, "The End of the World" gets me. It's also 1 I sing a lot when I'm down. I listen to the Carpenter's a lot.

    Love that line too.
Unfortunately when I hear it now I picture Tom Cruise dancing around with a pool cue.
So...I'll have to go with my second favourite line : " Little old lady got mutilated late last night. Werewolves of London again "
