Photograph is one I could imagine easily with a nice three part harmony provided by John, Paul and George.

Early McCartney solo songs sound like Beatles songs because Paul was the only one making Beatles songs as a solo artist.

George and John went off the deep end with their esoteric Meditation/Indian/God/Mommy/War/Peace message music. Paul simply made Beatles songs.

......excluding Eleanor Rigby. Although I, myself, am tired of it, nothing on BOTR comes close, IMO. In addition to being, arguably, one of the greatest Pop songs ever, it was stylistically revolutionary for its' time.

Please ! Do not call or refer to 'Monkberry Moon Delight ' as a Beatles song. Please.

Completely agree. The McCartney album sounds a lot like “Beatle Paul.” Ram definitely does not.

I think there are a truckload of solo songs up to Beatles standards but because they don't have the Fab Four 'brand' are routinely ignored. It's just the lazy narrative that because they were working separately, they *obviously* weren't as good. It's nonsense.

Just one example: I think Bluebird is a much better song than Blackbird, but the latter gets much more attention and airplay because it's on a Beatles album....even though it's effectively a McCartney solo song. If it had been released after 1970, it would be an obscure solo track, with lots of people shaking their heads and saying, "ah, he used to write much better songs when he was in The Beatles."

I truly cannot imagine John would sing "Hari Krishna" and "Hallelujah" for 4 minutes, especially in 1970.

LOL, I like that song! It's in the vein of Ob La Di Ob La Da, no? With a little Lady Madonna mixed in? Big hits, those songs. Top of the pop, my good man.

I think all the songs on your list are "Beatle worthy" as Jeff Walker, author of Let's Put The Beatles Back Together Again would say. Most of them aren't "great" songs but they're very good to excellent, add a star with the instrumentation and voices of The Beatles. Of the songs you mentioned at the end, I agree that songs like God and Power to The People-especially the latter-would not fit on Beatle albums. I truly think Instant Karma would have worked quite well as a Beatle song. I'd put it in the same mold as Revolution but in it's own unique "space".

...here's a short list of solo Beatle songs that I think would have fit very well specifically on The White Album...this is not to say that these are great songs or in the case of at least one, even "good"...but they all fit atmospherically...and on an album like this one, that's almost as important as the actual song quality:
    - Woman Oh Why
    2-I Found Out
    3-Remember
    4-Heart Of The Country
    5-Art Of Dying
6-Bip Bop (shortened to about half the length).
    7-That Would be Something

Paul’s “English Tea” would have made a perfect Beatles song, but no doubt John would dismiss it as Paul doing more of his granny music.

I always "heard" I know I know as a Beatle song....even if they did reuse the intro to I've Got A Feeling.
