Say... anyone ever hear anything about that Nitzer Ebb box? I guess I’m still waiting out the backorder but I’m not sure how long I’m gonna wait... been a month since I ordered already. Kinda feel like if there were still copies around we would have heard something...
Just got this yesterday but haven't played it yet. Guess I will have to check this out first thing tomorrow!
Hey! I'm glad you liked it. It seems our approach is more or less the same, though I heard "I Wanna Dance with You Again" several times on the radio before I understood that I really liked it. Then bought the album. I like the fact that it isn't about one certain way of doing music. It is exploring musical expressions. Too fleating to some (I've tried it on several friends - they find it inconsistent). I too bought the eponymously named first album after hearing "Where's the Magic". If you like their second serving, I do not think their first will do your ears any harm.
Seems we are indeed hearing this album the same way. What others are hearing as fleeting or inconsistent I'm hearing as varied and experimental. None are as immediate as "Dance" but no less interesting. Looking forward to the first album that has already shipped but media mail across the country means I'll be checking back in 10 days or so!
Well folks, I’m sorry to say that I caved first. Cancelled and took the refund on the Nitzer Ebb box. I really hope one of you gets it but I’m just doing the math in my head and I’m thinking if they only made 600 copies to start with, there’s basically no chance this thing is showing up as a backorder. Sometimes you get the lady, sometimes you get the Tiger I guess.
Who knows, maybe you just moved up a spot in line now that I dropped out and you’ll get one! Fingers crossed for you, man.
On the same order I also pre-ordered a cd that comes out on the 20th. I feel like when they go to ship out that CD they will see the Nitzer box on my order and just cancel it.
was just thinking about this today. if no developments occur by the end of this week i think i might just cancel too. could another good deal to repurpose my $65 on...
I hear that! I’ve been checking every night and still nada added. I’m sure there are a handful of CDs here and there but the vinyl number just keeps going down... SO DEPRESSING!!!
Less than 800 in the bin now. I guess they are waiting for the "Trolls World Tour" to sell out before adding new stuff. Every one here should buy 10 copies so we can get the bin moving again....
My last order, 6 cds. Only 4 were shipped/received. No emails about the missing 2 cds. I put in a claim with Paypal.
That Brian Wilson album has literally been in the discount bins for years. At this point, they should probably just give it away as a freebie.
I had the same thing with 2 LPs that didn't ship (Love 4 Sail and Best of Lulu). I emailed them and they said they would ship when back in stock. Sure enough I got them a few weeks later.
It took awhile to get a response. Did your shipping notice indicate that the missing items were shipped?
The missing items had a zero next them. But the missing items are no longer on their website. (I assume they were 'blown out')
