Barnes & Noble is having another 50% Off Select Vinyl Sale that started Monday. They did this last December and apparently it's bi-yearly. I just scored the last copy of Led Zeppelin The Song Remains The Same Box Set for 50% Off! It's only in-store so you can either buy online and do curbside pick up or if you're brave enough go peruse yourself. Good luck!

would be a lot easier if after you selected your store on their site, it told you what was in stock and not everything that is out of stock

There were 2 copies of the Led Zep Song Remains the Same box at the Grove location. They also had Springsteen vol. 2 box.

Thanks for the 'heads up' on this.
I was just at my local B&N and grabbed a Laura Nyro NY Tendaberry:

They were't heavily stocked with titles but there was some tasty stuff. The Laura Nyro jumped out at me - couldn't resist.

Coincidentally, last night I was spinning/recording another B&N title I grabbed a couple years ago. It sounds as nice as it looks:

I did very well with that sale in January. And I was supposed to be in the US right now, too.

    Sigh.

So, is this a week-long sale?

    Asking for a friend...

Right! I was just on there. It’s like some sort of cruel joke. I blame resellers. No way is there actual demand for some of them for them all to sell out.

BN tends to hold onto new releases a bit longer than other retailers.

Just in the last couple weeks, I was able to score the Neil Young Archive releases of Greatest Hits and Harvest at list price by finding a store where they're in stock and calling and asking them to ship. Saved a ton of cash...

Do they ever have 50% off CD sales?

I’d rather support independent sellers on Discogs, anyway

You mean the ones selling new releases with an absurd markup? No thanks.

Well I know Barnes & Noble needs your help. I actually still enjoy going into a real store and buying the vinyl as opposed to just shopping online.

I think the last one was maybe a month or so. That would make sense, considering their Criterion Sale was about a month too. Assume the good stuff will sell out fast though

For some reason you can only shop the sale in-store or buy online and pick up in store if it's in stock.

I work at Barnes & Noble. If anybody is interested in any of the titles in the sale just let me know and I can find out which stores have them. You can then order over the telephone.

Alternatively go to your local store and ask them to "manifest" the album (they would then ring up a store that has the title in stock and have it sent to your local so you can pay for it there). Most stores are willing to do this.

I think the reason the vinyl is on sale is because they have so much of it. They are trying to move product so they have room for the new stuff
