During the holidays, I picked up 2 Bowie LP boxes at B&N. I'm fortunate that I was able to buy the first 3 Bowie box sets for half price or less.
    I don't think I need the 4th box.

That's great news! I've got all the Bowie sets on CD and so have managed so far to resist the temptation of getting the vinyl sets! I just finished listening to all the vinyl I got in the first Barnes & Noble sale and I'm trying not to go overboard in this new one!

Does the dropout in heroes from the box set only occur in the cd set or does the lp have the same drop out?

I’m the same the only one I missed was five years and it costs a fortune

I skipped loving the alien since I’m not a fan of that period and I’ve got originals but I may get it just to keep the sets going. It was real cheap on amazon a year ago

Indeed, LTA has been stupid cheap but it is totally worth the current ask.

Checked out the selection at B&N in Paramus, NJ, and was surprised to see an actual Used Vinyl section, which is new since February. Ridiculously overpriced, tons of beat-up jackets, many empty jackets (with price tags). Not a bad idea to try this sort of thing out, but ineptly done.

Thanks. Don’t know why I bought them as I have all the tracks on several other releases, but I’m a sucker for Sun Records material, exclusives, colored wax, and good sale prices. So, I’m pleased. One thing I did find odd, when I ordered them in the store the employee who tracked them down said they would call me when they were in. I never got called, but decided to stop on today to check the status. I spoke with a different employee and she said let me check for you. She looked up front with the other special orders and they weren’t there. She then looked in the back and found them. I didn’t think much of it, but later searching BN.com for other exclusive 50% titles, I saw my four records were listed as available at my store and could be bought online and picked up.

So, I suspect the employee who manifested them or who ever received them treated them as regular store stock and not a special order and they were about to be put out in the racks. If they had done that I would have been upset. Perhaps I got there just in time.

I know that a store manifest is treated differently from other orders. There's usually a note on mine saying "Attention Mike"! It's strange that they are still showing as "in stock" after you bought them. I'm not too sure as to how that store operates but I would guess that it was a good sign that they were in the back rather already in their music department. They possibly had just arrived? Good for you though for keeping on top of things - it certainly pays to be pro-active because mistakes can be made - especially with so many places being short staffed because of the virus.

I don't suppose anyone has seen the Shawshank Redemption set in any of their local stores?

That's a good one -- got it from my store on the first day of the sale. Also got "Let Me Up, I've had enough" for around the same price.

Seems like many of the same titles as the previous sale?
I have a few from that sale I haven't unsealed yet! So, that's a good thing I guess! More for later.

Many for sure, but I think most of us have found at least a few things added since the last one. And yeah, I don’t think I got around to playing at least half of the ones from the last sale myself...
