Too bad, because this would be an excellent time for Daniel to go out and get drunk...

My mom wasn’t happy when I told her the news because she enjoyed watching the show.

Looks like Netflix whacked three SF/fantasy shows. Altered Carbon at least got a second season, but the flavor of the show in Season Two, cast member changes and budget cuts didn't do it any favors. The Society also suffered from low viewings. I'm most disappointed in them stopping work on the previously-greenlit second season of I Am Not Okay With This, which was a nice discovery for me, although not long enough - only 7 eps, around 35 minutes each, to get you started...?! Come on-!

The Stumptown cancellation is a bit of a shame. It had a fan base, but COVID-related production delays would have pushed the premiere to the spring, and ABC didn’t want/need it then.

Perhaps Smulders could take this opportunity to just change her name to something flashier, then just make a deal with some network, where she could simply, I dunno, walk back and forth across the screen for an hour...?

Shame about Emergence (too smart) & Stumptown (fun show), but great news that psychopath Tosh is FINALLY going away.

How most of these series were ever greenlit is a mystery; Venture Bros. & Penny Dreadul? Ugh.

Emergence had some pretty bad/repetitious episodes, but had real promise.

The real shame is that ABC cancelled the brilliant Kevin a year earlier. :(

Orville was very uneven, but ya know, it got better over time, and I think they eventually found their footing and started doing some interesting shows.

I wanted to like the show but I thought too much time was given over to rote subplots involving the weenie cop or the weenie bartender that just weren't interesting. They could have done so much more with her mysterious back story and her relationship with the wonderfully morally ambiguous Native American godmother. I was intrigued when they introduced the mysterious hit woman too but other than that, I dunno. The whole thing felt pre-jumped to me. I'd still rather have a Maria Hill spin-off anyway.
