Did Batman Subzero get a theatrical release? I didn’t know that. How cool!

Thinking about it, I think I was wrong to mention Batman - Subzero since I realized that it was an OAV release. However, Batman - Mask Of The Phantasm was a theatrical release (that's where I saw it). To me, it is the best Batman theatrical movie.

My favorite go-to version of the theme song.

What's great about it is the remarkable Plas Johnson played the main theme on the new Varitone electric sax.
And it really jumped the theme to a contemporary sound. Sounds terrific ....

    You know your weaponry. ;)

I used to use it a lot on the radio in the '80s/'90s, as a telephone "winner!' music bed.
    (In Milwaukee, at one point!)

I always felt it was a serious mistake in replacing Pat Priest for the movie version. It was cool to see them in color though...

People at one time talked about about having a movie of “Upstairs, Downstairs” after season 2. Have an American cousin of the Bellamy’s visit and get USA financing. One of the reasons Nicola Pagett (Elizabeth) left; she also was afraid of being typecast.

That really bothered me too. Not as much as Julie Newmar in the Batman movie, but it still sucked. Same thing I said about The Nude Bomb (which was an awful name) in my OP.

Yes, but that had nothing to do with the TV show.

    Dusty's Trail*

The series had a theatrical release named The Wackiest Wagon Train In The West. Per Wikipedia it was just episodes of the series edited together into a theatrical feature.

*Dusty's Trail was basically Gilligan's Island in the Old West, with a lost wagon taking the place of the Island. All the characters were similar to those on Gilligan's Island. The series wasn't a hit.

Are You Being Served? had a spin-off film in 1977 between the fifth and the sixth series. It was nowhere near as good as the TV show.

I can actually see the point that for what they were trying to do with The Nude Bomb, 99 would have undercut the action too much. In the series, having the sane second character was essential; people would have gotten sick of Max bumbling around with no relief. I don't know that the relationship is nearly as helpful in a one off movie.

But at least Nude Bomb had Larrabee!

In any case, I hope that no one has a problem with retconning the Season 5 twins out of existence. Those kids were shark bait from Day One!

The Lone Ranger (1956) and The Lone Ranger and the Lost City of Gold (1958) were made after the series was canceled. Both movies starred Clayton Moore and Jay Silverheels.
