I'm doubting they are, but by any chance are the albums inside the box individually shrinkwrapped? I'd love to have this set, but I've since bought the individual LPs of Let's Dance and Never Let Me Down, so it would be a bonus if I could just pull those two and sell them.
Whatttt! I typed that right before I fell asleep. Must’ve hit bold type by accident. Just lucky that it wasn’t capitalized too.
Not individually wrapped! Extra records would make great presents. It’s nice that the records have a separate high quality black inner sleeve to house them in to keep the official inner sleeves with the artwork safe.
Thom Yorke - Anima - $11.46 https://www.amazon.com/ANIMA-2LP-12...7&sr=1-1-191b1ae3-0539-4250-ad39-b698e0b800f6
absolutely. i feel like a broken record as i've said it before in this thread, but: i found this set almost revelatory. the live stuff is pretty dang great. my box was perfect and less than $100.
Picked this up a few days ago when it was $13 and change. Gave it a spin yesterday – it's a great listen!
Tanya Tucker LP While I'm Livin' $11.28 (I'm waiting for it to go below $10) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07SL1NYLQ/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_2?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1
$10.50 Course, if you wait about a year, Barnes & Nobles will probably sell their White vinyl version for half price. $11.49 While I'm Livin' (can't imagine too many buyers)
If you just want to buy a record just for the sake of buying a record, you could just go to Goodwill and get one for a dollar. Why would you buy something you didn't even want? You send me $10 I'll send you a record that's probably better than that one
Guilty. I kinda do that with Deep Discounts Blow Out Bin purchases, I guess... buy for the sake of buying there is fun! With $10 I could buy two! Most are records I know I will like, some I take a chance on (which end up being great too), and few do end up being one-time-listen only.
Plus anyone older then 30+ especially can still remember a time you couldn't just easily look and research/sample every album before you bought it. Pretty much everyone used to "take chances" on albums because of the cover art, names they recognize in the credits etc. Obviously, in the present I take these kind of risks drastically less mostly because my shelves get filled way too quickly but it's still nice to take a chance here and there when the price is the right.
I bought the Tanya Tucker lp for $10.50(ish) yesterday, thanks to this thread. I appreciate the heads-up!!
I finally bit on the Beatles Singles Collection box at $128 and change: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VQ9YLHS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Just need to make sure to check for warped discs, from what I've read.
$9.84 (maybe it'll go down to $8) I bought it at $9.95. I was able to buy this SEALED LP at my local record store with the dollar I saved.
The getz/gilberto AP 33 showed up this morning. Fantastic quality all around and still $21. Getz/Gilberto [LP] https://www.amazon.com/dp/B084Z3W4QB/
Down to $121.99 Since my order hasn't been delivered yet, I contacted Amazon and they credited me the difference.
Now $115.89! That's pretty much $5 per single. I've been working through my set since it arrived the other day and no issues with warping with what I've worked through. Started with Love Me Do and I've made it through Hey Jude. Packaging is great; it's fun to discover what country is next when I pull out each single.
