It was his utility belt, which contained such things as the Beatrope, the Beatarang, Beat Shark Repellent, etc. "Quick, Ringo, to the Beat Pole!"
According to the Rolling Stone article, the half-speed 50th anniversary edition of McCartney comes out in September: Paul was delighted at the fresh, spontaneous energy of his solo recordings, with the breezy wit of “Every Night,” “Junk,” and “That Would Be Something.” (McCartney will come out with a 50th-anniversary edition in September, in a half-speed-mastered reissue.)
Due out on September 26, 2020. The 50th anniversary Record Store Day limited edition of McCartney was pressed from a master cut by Miles Showell at half speed using the original 1970 master tapes at Abbey Road Studios. It was made as a vinyl specific transfer in high resolution and without digital peak limiting for the best possible reproduction. RSD '20 Special Release: Paul McCartney - McCartney
I forgot to mention this is due out next week (August 29, 2020): Written, recorded and released January 1970, in a span of just ten days, Instant Karma! was to become one of John Lennon’s most popular singles, reaching #5 in the UK and #2 in the US. Featuring George Harrison alongside bassist Klaus Voormann, drummer Alan White and keyboardist Billy Preston, it marked the first time any Beatle collaborated with legendary producer Phil Spector, who later that year worked on the band’s final album (Let It Be) and solo albums from John and George. Newly mixed audio. Artwork is a faithful reproduction of original UK sleeve. RSD '20 Special Release: Lennon/Ono with the Plastic Ono Band - Instant Karma! (2020 Ultimate Mixes)
In the mood for something a little different today? Paul's electronic album 'Liverpool Sound Collage' was released #OnThisDay in 2000! Listen here: http://mpl.pm/LiverpoolSoundCollage (Paul McCartney)
In case anyone is interested the recent Linda McCartney Polaroid diaries is on sale at amazon for about 12 bucks discounted from a cover price of 50 bucks. I held off on buying this but couldn’t resist at that price. https://www.amazon.com/McCartney-Li...ies&qid=1598232170&sprefix=linda+mccar&sr=8-2
For anyone who cares, this is now available for purchase on the LEGO website: early Xmas/winter Covid lockdown to myself. Have a feeling they won't last long. The Beatles 31198 | LEGO® Art | Buy online at the Official LEGO® Shop US
Except for one quick shot of George smiling , I notice that most of the time he’s a little standoffish at times here .
Just when you thought you've seen all the photos from the 60s, another one appears.. and it's Paul with carol singers on his doorstep, no less! 'There Are Places I Remember': A Christmas Carol (a Linda McCartney photograph)
And quite a story with the presence of Neil Harrison. What a coincidence, funny to have a picture of this moment.
I really expected more from THIS....especially after the AWESOMENESS of "Rushes"! I am a long-time Negativland fan, so I love 'collage', but it takes a special 'ear' to do it well. On a positive note, I had never heard of Super Furry Animals until I bought this...... After "Rings Around The World", I bought everything they made! I don't think I've ever heard them anywhere, in the USA...I did get to see them at The Avalon, in LA, by the time the 'best of' came out. Like Ringo appearing on the Liam Lynch "Fake Songs" album, it was kinda cool, seeing Beatles appear on these lesser-known artists records!
Login • Instagram Found this on instagram - does anybody have any idea what he could be working on with Rubin?
Oh now that is interesting. I always said (and others) that an Old Man Paul album with Rick Rubin would be good. This doesn't sound like an album ... but still.
"Just another day in Sag Harbor with my Buddy Paul McCartney He is doing a documentary with the fabulous Rick Rubin "
I saw that in the instagram. I guess I was subtly suggesting that if he wasn't recording some kind of music with him, it would be a darn shame. Maybe the nature of the doc will include that. Maybe not. We shall see. What is the equipment Paul is standing in front of? Some kind of mixing board?
