    Oh Hell Yes!!!!

Number of discs 4? The picture looks like triple vinyl and a cd or DVD? So I am assuming we are getting both sets complete plus a documentary?

Tempting, but they'd have to work magic to etch out all the wind interference from those recordings. Great performances, poor recording situation.

Regardless of anything (poor sound, wind interference)...they've got me on this one. It's the 50th anniversary of his passing. I'm sure to be one of the first to pre-order.

    What a great cover shot!

Gonna need more than a link to unavailable on Amazon and no mention in search, no trace on Experience site which works with Sony.

Is this some kind of marketing survey to see how many folks click on it so Sony can decide if there is interest - there was a special Amazon UK cookie accept box.

I am over all these Jimi promotions with no delivery or endless delay - really tiresome.

DVD is called Music, Money, Madness: Jimi Hendrix in Maui. Sounds about right for what happened with that project.

Is this a boot or semi-legit release?

This shouldn’t be a “Jimi Hendrix Experience” release like it says on the cover

It says it's from Sony Legacy and if you zoom in on the booklet notes, they are signed "John McDermott".

Guys, Amazon and other retailers usually let the cat out of the bag first these days by posting premature preorder links, this happens all the time. I fully expect EH to announce this very shortly.

Also, this band was billed as the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Some fans refer to it as the Cry of Love Band or JHE 2.0 or whatever, but many of these shows were announced or billed as The Jimi Hendrix Experience and EH has set this precedent before on their Berkeley release.

There were two shows that day. The usual suspects, plus: Hey Baby, Message To Love, Dolly Dagger, Ezy Rider, Freedom, Hear My Train A-Comin' and Jam Back At The House.

Ok. Got it. It still shouldn’t be listed as an Experience show

See my above post. EH has referred to this band frequently as The Jimi Hendrix Experience because that is actually how they were billed. EH has done this on Berkeley and Atlanta Pop releases before.

Here is the poster for Honolulu the gig after this one showing the billing

It's been rumored for years - here it is finally. Thanks, Jim.
Like anyone else I'm interested in hearing if they managed to improve the sound quality or if they've found new sources.
Because in the quality we've had up till now, it should be released on Dagger Records, which seems to be inactive.
Maybe EH figured they can now sell technically sub-par live recordings to the general public (and the Hollywood Bowl recording on the Ladyland box set was toe dipping to try this angle).

Anyhow I will definitely buy it.

It's billed as Jimi Hendrix Experience release because the band was named as such during almost all 1970 concerts (some ads/posters only said "Jimi Hendrix").
To bill it as "Cry Of Love Band" or anything else would be incorrect.

Interesting that the open page in the booklet in the vinyl box is the technical notes section.

And it's a loooong note. Intriguing. Either they are apologizing profusely, or they used cutting edge techniques to enhance the tapes, or both.

Instant buy of course. I REALLY hope there's a Blu Ray of the video though.

Funny, there's no release date on the listing page, but if you click the link for "see other formats", it comes up with a date of 20-November-2020. Makes sense for it to be a pre-Christmas item to capitalize on sales.
