IIRC, 1998's "Deep Impact" made it look like the very landlocked Richmond VA was on the Atlantic Ocean!

And I think 2013's "Identity Thief" makes it look like Winter Park FL - which is outside of Orlando - is on the Atlantic as well!

How is it that in westerns, a cowboy on horseback appears to only have a saddle, a rifle, a canteen and a flimsy bedroll. Yet when they are sitting at the fire, they have a coffee pot, cast iron skillet and utensils, as well as food for breakfast or dinner, like bacon, coffee, beans or stew? Furthermore, does mother nature always supply enough food and water for the horse?

    Another note about westerns.

How did saloons have so much beer on draft? My understanding is that draft beer must be kept cold. Without out any energy source, and located out in the middle of nowhere, how would they receive any ice delivery, and if that were even possible, how long would ice last?

Looks like a big city in the late 1800s or early 1900s. Notice the train with the contemporary R.R. Crossing sign. Notice the paved streets with concrete sidewalks and curbs. Notice the relatively contemporary homes in the background. Notice the telephone poles. Infact, your bottom picture appears to be the back of a automotive truck, with a tall apartment building in the background. This is not the old west as depicted by Hollywood. Not Dodge City in the early 1800s.

People always rub their wrists after handcuffs are removed.

And this is wrong? What do you do when they take your handcuffs off?

I'll defer to any here who get cuffed on a more frequent basis. :)

Not sure how it would work in the old west, but if it was cold enough in winter, ice would be cut in huge blocks from frozen lakes and such. Then stored away in insulated ice houses, sometimes underground facilities like root cellars. Covered over with insulating materials such as sawdust, a winter's ice harvest could last throughout most of the year.

But for the most part, beer then was served at room temps. The way the English like it.

Here in Japan, handsome / kawaii is the usual fake standard for actors in TV/film roles as in the USA. But where it really goes off the rails, in my opinion, in Japan is with the youth of the characters.

Tune into some TV drama about surgeons in a hospital, for example, and not only does every surgeon look like a model, but every single one is about 32 years old or younger. It's too fake.

Shooting the movie adaptation ruins the wonder and emotion of the original book
(i.e., what Peter Jackson did to the timeless literary works of J. R. R. Tolkien .. utterly revolting!)

What Hollywood has been doing wrong for years is re-making French films.

Guns that have no recoil, especially when shot by a petite woman.

Offering a last ditch consolation romance to a likable side character when they are dumped so the 2 leads can be together.

Kung fu movies where the henchmen surround the hero and and then take turns.

Movies where a guy delivers a line and within seconds jumps to screwing her brains out.

Rom coms where people apparently don't have to work.

Cocksure action heroes nonchalantly walking around while bullets hit everywhere around them. Even a blind henchman could get lucky.

Basically, any series of films in which the main characters always survive, and when they die you know in advance because they are given the limelight. Not a quick "holy cow, Batman just got shot in the head" that everyone else gets.

Living in Indiana makes it humorous to view Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Especially the early effects scene in the mountains and pines.
