Upstairs in Astrid's house, where Stu had been painting. He'd died just a couple of days before this:

 

It is, but Roy was in the House Band, they were there for months.

 

And, speaking of Stu, this one was taken the same day as Astrid's first photos of them (autumn 1960):

 

I don't know, man! I'm a woman in 2020 and think George was gorgeous. If you pop over to Instagram, there are plenty of Beatles fan accounts run by girls who are teenagers or in their 20s. Plenty of oogling over the Beatles still happening.

Quite possibly the strangest expressions I've ever seen on George & John!

People back then, they always have this personal touch in friendship. I remember in the 80's, every weekend families and friends shares times together. One guy needs help like moving, everyone helps out. We did my moms roof just friends helped me out. We have house parties at nights. Those are beautiful times.
And they don't do that anymore.. Are we missing something?

 

Either that, or the piano changes colour between gigs.

 

Yes. He had to shave off the beard and moustache in order to join the Beatles.

Almost nothing is known about that Davy Jones fellow that the Beatles backed up a few times. I don't even think Lewisohn has much to say about him.

 

What is interesting is that Paul turned up in the very same shirt about a decade later:

Davy is a lot taller than I remember.

 

See, that's the kind of detail that sends me into paroxysms.

 

I searched for a photo where Pete didn't look bored out of his skull and... well, you know the rest.

 

Ringo changed the most, almost unrecognizable in the first pic!
