Me too! It's Paul's house, 1958, and Mike McCartney says they did climb on that roof to watch the shows. It's unlikely to be their dad and his mates!
Remnants from the May 1960 Johnny Gentle Tour. A couple of points; 1. I think that's Stuart's profile you can just make out behind George's head, I have just never seen it pointed out before, only George is usually acknowledged as being visible. 2. The autograph sets show that they called themselves The Beatles (Paul) or The Beatals (Stuart) on that tour a few months before the first Hamburg stint when they are generally acknowledged as adopting the name. Apologies for the quality of the last image, it's the best I could find.
This is a brilliant thread. I didn't realise there were so many 'alternates' of photos we've known for all these years. Plus the shots that I've never seen before. And I've been a fan for 40 years (OK @nikh33 I realise I'm a rookie compared to you!)
Ain't that the truth ! What would have happened if Ringo had been the tallest Beatle ? The whole dynamic of the band ( and our lives !) would have changed.
After party at the home of Sam Leach's girlfriend, Joan, who who is the blonde sitting on George's knee. 1962
Three new solo ones of Paul (though in one he looks older) and also the one with Ringo on the bunkbed: new to me! I didn`t think I`ll see something new here - sorry for sounding so arrogant - but YEAH!
I didn`t hear the whole episode but I recall that Barry really had little memories and despite him appearing to be a nice guy it gave the interviewers a hard time, most of the time it was them telling the stories and Barry either said "yeah" or "cannot remember".
