Filies de Kilimanjaro Miles Davis This got brief airtime during the intermission of last night's Bronco game (ugh!), need the whole this this morning. Up-thread someone said jazz is where Deadheads go to recharge, Miles and Trane are also Roots Music for the band itself- honoring the Ancestors.
It's "meh" an internet thing? I thought it predated these virtual days. Of course, I'm not a native speaker, so... (Honestly, I ignore the origin of many words from my own language, not to mention I obviously don't know every Spanish word to start with, so not having English as my mother tongue is not an issue this time. Gee, what an ignoramus I am! I feel depressed now).
I'd guess the origins are yiddish and common long ago in east coast US jewish culture. Using it to be a dick on the internet is fairly recent.
Meh is good, but you need to follow it up with an example of something far better from a recording that is beyond obscure and not available anywhere but in your collection. But you're on the right track, just need a bit of work.
Today’s improvised music interrupting an INSANE day working in front of my computer - still in shorts and t-shirt all day long - that’s the bright side!!! Another one the new arrivals from Eastern Europe noobject Martin Kuchen on sopranino & tenor saxophones Rafal Mazur on his acoustic bass guitar Vasco Trilla on drums 2 CD set 39 minutes & 30 minutes!!! first 7 minute piece was stunning I think @Archtop needs to hear this bassist but he’s not gonna listen Recorded 12/7/2018 at Łódź-Art Inkubator Fundacja SLUCHAJ
Oh yeah, essential. That rare compilation that can appeal to a total newbie as well as a veteran fan (there isn't a lot of overlap with his other albums).
Family is based in Connecticut I was picturing Billy Crystal doing his Jewish weatherman from SNL back in the 80s "Tomorrow's forecast - feh!"
