I think adding 'BY THE BEATLES' distracts. More elegant without unneeded text. Not digging the puce and dirty-orange background either.
Sure is an ugly way they messed up that photo. Hope the album has a better image. I like the concept behind it, showing the four of them together, playing their instruments as a tight band and sharing a laugh, but then they shouldn't have twiddled with that original image till it got ugly. Someone should tell the graphic designer to stop picking away or it'll make everything bleed!
Ah. There it is. John's Piano Piece. I thought I was probably forgetting something... [The old grey matter ain't what it used to be... ] Of course, that wasn't on any "proper" version of the Let It Be album, so I guess I was also kind of correct...
Thanks Mike. Any Beatles related news on upcoming releases is always greatly appreciated. Please keep them coming.
Yep, the The Beatles by the Beatles was dropped in favour of The Beatles Anthology back in the ninties. Could they not have thought of a similar tagline : The Get Back Anthology or even the The Get Back Saga
A shot from the rooftop gig may have been a choice IMO. It’s so frustrating thinking that by now, we would’ve watched the film, had the book and possibly the deluxe audio set too. There would’ve been countless hours spent digging into the stuff and discussing it here. Now we wait another 12 months...
I like the new artwork. It gives a more positive vibe to the situation. I expect the older fans to dislike it, having been reading for half a century that those were the worst sessions etc. But the beat goes on, and I have always been a fan of the multicoloured, rainbow-style Twickenham lights
Well, rumour suggests a different title for the audio set so if they are separating the new film from the audio I guess that there is no reason to issue them together. Maybe we will get some unexpectedly good news in October.
Yeah, it feels like Egypt Station all over again... [what was that, like 2-3 years of speculation on "Paul's new album"..?]
Yea when I saw it on my feed I got so excited thinking they would release the book early after all but, alas, not to be.
Wow. I just wonder why they don't make it a huge selling point that they innovated just once again: The Beatles will be the first to publish a book with moving images ... ... ...
I’m surprised they’re including lots of session dialogue transcripts in the book. I wonder if the book will transcribe George leaving with the ensuing Yoko fuelled chaos and the infamous “I’ll play what you want me to play” conversation.
