That is a terrific purchase at any price, but at less than a buck a CD that's a brilliant steal. I know not everyone likes Karajan, but I always enjoy hearing his interpretations of the repertoire, and find them to be pretty straight forward. In my personal opinion, he's also as good with Brahams, Mendelssohn, Schumann, and Tchaikovsky as anyone. He's no slouch with Beethoven, either. So a terrific deal.

 

Agreed. Very happy with the CDs I've listened to so far (four over the weekend) - even more so as I like Karajan as a conductor.

It also nicely complements the 101 CD Remastered box I bought a couple of months back.

 

I'm going to keep an eye on that Karajan Symphony Edition, hopefully it will drop in price again at some point.

 

Currently it seems to be out of stock at Amazon.au, so hopefully they'll get more in.

I dont think its possible to buy from fnac unless its in your own country. I tried to buy from Fnac France and Fnac Spain and wasnt possible.
For the same reason Fnac Portugal has often very good deals and I dont even post them here beacause they are only available for Portugal.

Aparently they do, but I cant see the shiping price for USA. For Portugal is 6€.
One thing about fnac. Those pormotions dont take more than a few days, so if you want it hurry up.
Myself would get it if I havent buy just a couple weeks ago the Beethoven complete works on Warner for 81€ on Fnac Portugal in one of this fash sales.

When ordering I only could do it by giving my Portuguese Citizen Number (they ask for passport Number, but I dont have one). This is when setting the adress.
What is stoping your process?
