I'm just wondering how many of these are out there. Some examples that come to mind immediately: Michelle - The Beatles Angie - Rolling Stones Beth - Kiss Rhiannon - Fleetwood Mac Barbara Ann - Beach Boys (barely qualifies due to the Ah... at the beginning) Some that don't qualify: Brandy (You're a Fine Girl) - Looking Glass Aubrey - Bread ("AND Aubrey was her name") Etc. How many can you come up with?
Anna (Go To Him) by The Beatles Michelle by The Beatles Gloria by Laura Branigan Cecilia by Simon & Garfunkel
Good one (even with the "Ooh" at the beginning) That's three now with Ooh or Ah as the first sound (but since it's not really a word...) EDIT: Just to be clear, the song title should be the same as the first word, a girl's name. I should have put that in the OP.
Here's one I listened to a few minutes ago: Jawbreaker- "Caroline" "Caroline has a dime, she tries to call a friend now"
This is the first word after the main body of the below mentioned song has been sung. Levi Stubbs has been ranting and raving his passion and obsession with her for several verses and the song fades to silence only to have him come back in screaming : " Bernadette !" Not quite what 's intended here but good for an honorary mention.
Over in the Technical Cheaters Section with "Ah Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba-Barbara Ann," "Ooh Denise" and "Oh Donna":
