Ooh, that’s a good point! Did they do any hints with ES beforehand, though? Or was it just the mysterious pics on his instagram that were the first hints?

 

I’m quite certain the publicity began with the mysterious Instagram pics.

 

I was looking back through that old thread, and he’d already had the live debut of Come On To Me in Liddypool when that first Instagram pic appeared. Tried to search the old Macca online newsletters (What’s That You’re Doing) for hints, but got error messages.

BTW, that thread got retroactively renamed as the Egypt Station thread, but that first hint was around 290 pages in . Another good reason to hold off on a new album thread here for awhile, IMO.

 

Yes, the instagram of Paul became blank with just a mysterious drawing and some mysterious post each day (twice a day at first as far I remembered) and the things gone on for 9/10 days !

 

I believe the very first clue was the mysterious triangle with the halos?

Yes, a rail and a tunnel, a brodcast sign, a pyramid with the sun, etc.

 

We were counting the lines as symbolism. "Could it be McCartney III?"

 

Why wait for clues - maybe there’s one in his last Tweet? LOL

Will someone with knowledge of the Jewish Traditions, customs and symbols please inform of us of what his tweet contains of those. Note the Apple and photo below. Once those certainties are established, then we can begin the Wild Goose Chase on everything else.

I’m particularly intrigued by the sphere on his right foot.

I’m also curious about the lettering or writing between his feet.

Yes, that’s the teleprompter. I don’t think it’s a clue to the new direction.

But there are 3 Lights.

So, it sort of says, McCartney 3.

 

Not to mention back to the camera, acoustic guitar, left fist raised, peace sign right.

And seemingly empty seats....

Yeah you ( and I definitely I can) can imagine Macca thinking of all the fans he missed in concert this year and taking that incredible energy, passion and love with him to the studio and doing what he CAN do to create that magic and transform it into another form of magic.

That transformative magic is his,writing, playing and recording in a healthy environment, his studio. Recording McCartney III.

 

Let's not forget what magic also happened when The Beatles gave up touring.

I can almost read the press release quotes from Macca now about McCartney III..."With the Beatles, when we stopped touring, we had to, really, and we retreated to the studio.
