Question is, where do they want to go with the series? Should they choose to go back to a more ironic Roger Moore/Pierce Brosnan style, Tom Ellis might be the right guy. Should they choose to continue the rugged Daniel Craig approach, Tom Hardy seems to be a good choice.
He didn’t age in comparison with say Sean Connery. Hopefully No Time to Die gets a cinema release 2020. .. Trailer looked good while waiting for Tenet.
I would like him to do another one. But he is 52 now and since a new film will likely not happen until maybe 2023 (2024 should Bond 25 be postponed until 2021) at the earliest it's very unlikely we are going to see another Bond film with Craig.
I see it. I thought he played one of the best tough guy bad-a** characters of all time. British born. P.D. Pardo the main character from The Mayans tv show would also be great.
Plenty more time to speculate. Don’t think the Bond producers are in a hurry to find the next James Bond, with world problems 2020.
Missed out on Jason Statham. Though I read his definition of Bond would be a lot different. Guess his spy film Five Eyes with Guy Ritchie ( movie just sold to a big German financier to fund it)will be some sort of Bond homage.
One thing Craig brought to the party was a certain wariness and alertness. He looks like he could credibly size up a situation and ascertain possible danger. He was the best Bond at that. I think Henry Cavil would be a natural, especially if they write for his intelligence - he might be the kind of Bond more apt to first try to outthink an opponent than pummel him. But if it came to that, he could hold his own: https://www.youtube.com/watch?reload=9&v=PmvsAi89BDM
As famous British literary heroes go, I buy him more as Sherlock Holmes in the new Enola Holmes Netflix production than I would as Bond, I think. (not that the show will be about him, but we've got more footage of Cavill as Holmes than Cavill as Bond so...)
It was just announced Starr is in a new thriller called Cobweb. It will be interesting to see how he is leading in a film.
Box office wise $$$ He was a popular Bond alright. No wonder the producers were reluctant for him to go.
