He’s going to film himself playing every instrument on about 80 different tracks from his career and play them on a screen behind him like in the Fridays performance of Flaming Pie and Young Boy, and hit the road totally solo when concerts come back (Now that I say that....I actually want to see that) Plus he’ll have enough footage in the can so they’ll never have to use a hologram!
I actually love the McCartney album even with the minor flaws and a couple clunker songs, but it could have been a better album if Paul had used his "Ram" style of production. Having said that, it's very charming and a testament to Paul's incredible talent as both a composer and a musician. I was much less impressed with McCartney 2. Yes, it was daring of Paul to make such an experimental and innovative album, but the quality of the songs were not up to his the level of his best albums(Ram and Band on the Run especially). Can you imagine how good "Maybe I'm Amazed" would have been if the other Beatles had performed and George Martin had produced? Even so, it remains(Along with Every Night and Junk)some of his best songs with or without the Beatles.
LOL C’mon, the Double A side single ; God Damn Rockn’Roll/The Church We Never Went was released several years ago before the album - Pizza and Fairytales.
...and as he said also finishing the writing of some older songs. How old? Who knows, but he's been known to pull out some pretty ancient stuff at times. "Hot As Sun" written in the late 1950s on McCartney 1. IIRC a couple of the songs on Flaming Pie dated from the early 70s. A few songs from the 1974 "piano tape" ended up on 'Back To The Egg'...etc... ...but isn't that what both McCartney 1&2 started out as, before he got deeper into them and began to take them more seriously as being potentially releasable as albums? You mean like when he didn't record McCartney 1 very shortly after recording 'Abbey Road' - oh, wait...
It has just left Egypt Station. Next is McCartney III. Fasten your seat bealt. 2 albums in 2 years is a bit too fast for these days...
Seriously, thanks for doing a GREAT job with all this! Appreciate it. Lord Jinks on the job , guarding the Vault to McCartney III.
Now there's a YouTube video reporting the rumor using SHF as its source. Maybe the video was created by one of us? I'd post it here but it'd be like heating instant coffee inside a microwave oven.
Was it Mean Mr. Mayo? Yeah he's a member on this forum. He's a huge beatles freak like the rest of us. He's just excited and relaying the message to other people out there, he's a great dude
