As Sky Arts is now available on Freeview I thought it would be a good opportunity to start a thread, similar to the existing one for BBC4.

Sky Arts shows a lot of music programmes, so there's potentially a lot that that can be discussed.

Tonight for example, they are having a Pink Floyd night which includes a screening of the new Roger Waters concert film Us and Them.

The other Floyd shows were things that are readily available:

    Live in Pompeii
Pulse (the first half of the show)
Classic Albums - Wish You Were Here

I think they are repeating the Roger Waters concert later in the week.

It's on Freeview now? Might be time to get rid of Virgin Media. There's a lot of great stuff on Sky Arts but it can be very repetitive.

Caught the Roger Waters, that was good.

Watching the Dylan 30th Anniversary gig now.
It was on a few weeks ago.
Just rewound back to the start as it got to the Dylan bit.
My girlfriend doesn't mind Dylan so long as someone else is singing.
She saw the title on the screen as I wound it back and tutted and did a 'funny' Dylan impersonation.
Just not on, is it? :D

    Thanks!

I Googled & found listings. Loads of episodes of Tales of the Unexpected and old Southbank Shows. Thanks for alerting me to this "new" channel.

I have Sky in the home, but I am very glad of this development as we can't have multi-room and this means I can record/watch some of these shows through the Freeview tuner with my DVD/HDD recorder.

There have been a few good programmes on Sky Arts over Christmas. I am particularly pleased that they have been showing the Judy Garland TV show, albeit early in the morning. This morning's episode featured Tony Bennett.

This channel's replaced BBC4 as my go-to for good music/entertainment documentaries, albeit with a lot of repeated content. But that's no bad thing, as often things get missed or forgotten about.

Big night of Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood Mac related programming.

The premiere of her 24 Karat Gold Tour concert, plus some repeats of Mac programmes either side of it.

It's on Freeview channel 11. It replaced that 'Pick' channel three or four months back.

I have been watching old episodes of Tales of the Unexpected on Sky Arts.

I have also recorded a concert by Muse but haven't watched that yet.

Looked like a right load of pretentious bollocks, but I've never liked them anyway! :)

Nick Mason’s Saucerful Of Secrets has been my favourite find so far, but I’ve recorded quite a bit.

I’ve set my planner for The Jam later.
