No. Two live albums per tour sounds about right.

I was hoping for the LA Reality Tour Wiltern Theater shows or a Sound and Vision Tour Show, maybe someday

On davidbowie.com they have some new t-shirts coming out: Live Dallas ‘95 (Ouvrez le chien), liveandwell.com and Something in the Air - Live in Paris ‘99. I presume those are 3 of the titles.

Judging by the hodgepodge of tour dates faded in the back of the Instagram artwork, is there a chance this is just a large scale live compilation cherry-picked from his tours rather than complete shows?

EDIT: Never mind, I just saw the Twitter post. 6 new live albums on limited edition CD and vinyl. Seeing as this is my favorite live period of Bowie’s, this one’s a no-brainer for me!!

  12. This looks like it will be 6 separate releases rather than a box set.The first one on 30 October.Guessing announcement in the next 24 hours.

Awesome. I’m in for all of these. I hope they’re easier to get than Is It Any Wonder?

A real life adventure - worth more than pieces of gold!

  16. Long as it’s on CD, this is an instant purchase for me. In MY book, the only thing better than mid-to-late 90’s Bowie, is 2000’s Bowie (specially the double aughts Bowie). And then that’s only surpassed by the ultimate: 2010’s Bowie.

Anyway, I’m totally in on this.

I hope they announce which shows these will be, up front and not one at a time, and keep us guessing for the next 6 months. But who knows. I will not be getting them all, but will want a couple from 95-97 era.

  19. Ok, but how many here (like me), value nearly all of Bowie post-“Tin Machine” output over most of his pre-“Tin Machine” output. And I’ve been saying that for years.

Every “top-X“ list of my all time favorite Bowie albums STARTS with Blackstar at #1 and goes backwards from there (the only exception being Hours, which I rank a lot lower).

Heck, between ~2008 and 2013, I ranked Reality and Heathen as my two all-time favorites. And if all of Outside was as good as the best 60% of it, I’d put it right up there with Heathen and Reality.

  20. This!

  21. Any clue as to when in 2021 this will be available to preorder?

I was at both Wiltern shows and the one at the Greek theatre for that tour.
There are some great boots for all those shows.

My favourite period for live Bowie. I saw him 60 times between 1995 and 1999, so I’m hoping there’s a couple of shows I attended in there.

That was in 2000, so outside the scope of the period. Plus, they say six brand-new shows. The BBC Radio Theatre was already released officially.
