Yes, not only with the amp but the whole equipment, see profile. Nevertheless always curious what other systems might sound like.
Very happy. Main system has an Innersound iPower 750 mono amp and an Innersound ESL 800 mono amp powering Carver Amazing Silver MK4 (they *will* use all that power, very inefficient speakers at 83 dB sensitivity). Second system has a Counterpoint NPS-100a tube/mosfet hybrid amp powering B&W CDM-1SE and a Forte Model 3 powering a couple subs. I love both of those amps and was told the NPS-100a was Counterpoints best sounding amp by someone who used to evaluate amps for them. Ive got other amps as well but those are my 4 favorite amps. Other great sounding amps: Kyocera A-910 Kyocera A-710 Luxman M120-a JVC A-X5 // Sony TA-N55ES is also a nice sounding amp that I never gave a fair shake until recently bc I pretty much hate Sony (used to be loyal to Sony until I realized *every*single* Sony item Ive bought new no longer works)
I love my CAT JL5. It's an amazing amp. Being a tube amp though it can be a bad experience if a tube blows resistors inside the amp.
It's worse if it happens when your wife is in the room....i had my Sonic Frontiers Power 2 blow a tube and a couple of resistors in her presence....the blinding flash, smoke and smell spelled the end of that particularly good amp in my house
Just got in a pair of PS Audio M700 monoblocks. They're still breaking in, but so far I'm pretty happy!
