Amazon Prime Day was moved from July to October this year because of the pandemic.

Any good deals coming up for the audiophiles and videophiles on this board?

I think the days of cool and numerous deals on physical media music are long gone: the enthusiasm for Black Friday and Prime Day type sales has certainly declined over the years on this forum, as people find fewer and fewer things each year.

Yeah I'm hovering over the computer hoping there will be some vinyl deals.
Prime day already started here in Australia (we live in the future) - nothing doing so far.

I'm thinking about grabbing a new tv we need but know NOTHING about TVs....I haven't bought one since 2006 o_O

Cant decide between 55 and 65 inches

Can't decide if we should get oled or not

Cant decided sony or something else

I think one of the reasons we haven't bought one since 2006 is we bought GREAT tvs then...a Samsung LCD and a Pioneer Elite Plasma. Both are still happily used today.

Unless one needs a Kindle, this may be the lamest Prime day ever. I was looking at the Harry Potter blu-ray box for $27, but than I I found it new on ebay for $16.

I have been buying vinyl - they have a 3 for the price of 2 deal with lots of CDs and LPs listed. I buy 3 at time and make sure I maximize the discount by grouping 3 similarly priced titles. So I am basically buying 3 lps at 33% off. I saw a bunch of really good titles I have been wanting to buy. I have bought a ton of stuff! The only problem is I saw stuff I just recently bought (like the recent Verve/Acoustic Sounds re-issue of Louie Armstrong and Getz/Gilberto which are already discounted to $26 and $20 anyway and would have been even cheaper with the Prime Day deal).

This coupled with buy 2 get 1 gave me a sweet deal. Now if only I had a 4k player/tv! :D
