    What a nice surprise ...

I bought the following 5 LPs with the 15% off coupon, and they just arrived last night.

All looks well, and the Joel RL Phelps Gala LP is what I was hoping for when it was listed as "Import" (from Canada): They sent me hand-numbered 64 out of 250 LPs pressed in the limited edition.

I already have the 12XU LP edition (which I love), so I think I'll keep this one sealed for now. But the cover artwork is much clearer on the Canadian limited edition; it sorta looks like the 12XU LP edition used a lower-resolution digital scan of the original artwork.

    Here's what I got:
    • Comes Alive - Yanomamos 760137791119 LP $6.07

    • Gala [Import] - Joel R.L. Phelps 623339168519 LP $7.53

    • Van Mundi - Kleenex Girl Wonder 701822775700 LP $5.77

    • Wesley Stace's John Wesley Harding - Wesley Stace 634457249110 LP $6.20

    • White Lacuna - Kleenex Girl Wonder 701822775809 LP $6.07

Anyone else order this from them? Mine hasn’t shipped yet and I am pissed. Isn’t that the WHOLE POINT of placing a pre-order?!? How does Amazon have stock and the retail front for the world’s largest distributor have it on backorder? Just sent them a very strongly worded email.

Yeah, I pre-ordered my PC&L box as well and it hasn’t shipped.

Heck, I’m still waiting on the Depeche Mode Violator singles box that I pre-ordered from Sound of Vinyl back in July!

I have a few box set preorders in line at DD.

The good news: Ultravox Vienna has shipped.

The bad news: TFF Seeds Of Love has not.

If I had to choose between these two, Vienna wins in a landslide.

Notable that TFF remains available to "preorder" on the DD site.

New Order's PC&L is showing as backordered. I'm confident they were taking orders up to the release date.

The hopeful news: If anyone can secure product to ship, it'll be DD. Although PC&L is certainly a higher regarded album than Movement, if Movement remained available for purchase a year after release, I'm pretty confident that the PC&L box will be available for months to follow. Same goes for TFF.

We just won't see them anywhere near release date.

Yeah, DD replied to my rant about PC&L with a bog standard form letter. It’s on backorder, usually ships within 45 days, yadda yadda yadda. Not an actual shred of anything human sounding in there at all.

Harvey Mandel Snake Attack ordered from DDB on Aug 24 cancelled. Refund issued to PP. I had forgotten about that one! I thought I had received everything not cancelled.

That's actually one of my fears and why I won't be using PP again for that. I had Rush's "Presto" SACD on back order for a long time and they couldn't even provide details on how long a back order could last. Fortunately (?) it got cancelled about a week ago, so that's one less thing on my "need to keep track of" list.

I recommend The Wipers "Follow Blind" vinyl which is $8.42 in the blowout bin. It's a slightly more polished album than some of their more punk flavoured earlier work but I still rate it highly. They are definitely one of my favourite bands to come out of the Pacific North West!

Was tempted but after tax and shipping (large item still gets $6 shipping) moved it up to $68 and after my explosion splurge at Target it was just out of my comfort zone. but maybe it's in someone else's

Ya I ordered the Mission albums this morning. Lesser records from that very silly band but I'm fond of them regardless
