    “Soldier of Orange”
    Unfamiliar with Dutch actors per se.


    Only other Dutch person I’m familiar with is Mariska Veres( who’s a singer ).

    Okay. I, myself, define Britain and Ireland as part of " Europe ". However, your question appeared to imply " non-English language ". (We.will ignore the question of the tiny, I suppose pretty Arts Council or " super-indie ", in Welsh, Scot Gaelic, Irish Gaelic...or Pict or Cornish or whatever;).)

    Once you learn what this illustration represents, it's really hard to shake.

    IIRC, the the film's open ending leaves the central mystery unresolved. Some people like that sort of thing in arthouse films, but I mostly found that artistic choice annoying and pretentious. Still, relative to Haneke's oeuvre, it's a pretty accessible and engaging film.
