Yes it is, it stays pretty regular in my rotation. It’s one of their greatest albums in my mind, and really gets better with age, it was released 20 yrs ago last month.
Wow a Model 7 you lucky guy! I bet it sounds amazing surprised your friend let it fall into you clutches.
A little Bit today. It has Telefunkens in the phono section, which I haven’t been a fan of I my outboard phono, so the sonic signature is not exactly what I like. I will say that it has a nice open neutral sound, and is extremely quite. The depth of the stage is is nice too, but I probably need to listen a little longer to really get a feel for it.
Found out last week that we're not getting any work done on the house until spring. Ugh!!! Anyway, figured I might as well pull out some of my LPs, rearrange the rack to unstack the gear and mount the TV so I can put my turntable back where it's supposed to be. If nothing else, it looks better lol
Very classy looking. Heh, I had that Soft Machine album way back when. Another album I don't have clue what happened to.
I recently moved to Colorado and have a new listening area. One of the first things on my list when I started setting things up was an Eames style lounge chair and ottoman. Well, I crossed that off the list yesterday. I'll post some photos of the entire room after I install my room treatment and get my record/CD shelving sorted. I've also replaced all my PrimaLuna separates with their EVO 300 integrated.
Awesome. I believe I just saw a 3800 pre with a black faceplate on ebay. I have a regular 3800 pre I’m going to list for sale.
I opted for this one which isn't the cheapest, but from what I can tell not really inferior to the ones I've seen priced at well over $1000. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07N8VXLW6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Wow, thanks! I need to consider this for my new space in Idaho. Moving there 'for good' in February. Need to decide between 'home theatre seating', a big leather recliner, or something like this. Honestly I'll probably just start with a cloth recliner I have now (here in CA) and see how it works.
It's not pretty, with the surge protector extension cord going over the top of the roll-top desk, but I have the turntable on a different surface of the desk than the speakers now. My Audio Technica LP60X will probably be upgraded to an Audio Technica LP120X or something comparable/better in the not-too-distant future, but it plays well for what it is.
Holy crap I didn't realize they got that low thanks for the heads up! And great looking chair congrats! I've always wanted one but with our sectional sofa I have literally nowhere to put a chair like that.
