    Wait, what?

I had no idea there were still places that did not practice recycling... :wtf:

This is one of the few catalogs I am aware of that is still a classic, well-produced catalog. I enjoy them!

I hope no one gets what I said earlier to be dismissive of this company or the catalog. I've looked at them in the past and they are well produced and stocked full of gear I wouldn't buy but that's because I've been satisfied with what I own for some years now. I'm not in the market for anything they sell. I get tons of catalogs from companies I've never done business with and they all get binned. I simply don't have the consumer gene I once had.

Makes me feel like a kid again when we used to get the Sears Wishbook catalog and I’d go through thoroughly making “the list.”

It’s a really nicely done catalog, this year’s seems heavier on the gear than the music but it’s nice nonetheless.

Got mine today. I do enjoy it. I bought a pricey piece of gear from MD a couple years ago. Maybe that puts me on the lifetime mailing list. It's cool with me.

Mine came yesterday. Quite a few of the equipment pictures seemed blurry to me. Anybody else notice this?

I consider the MD catalog the nearest thing to audio porn.

I got mine in the mail today. I love my SL-1210GR so much that I couldn't resist ordering a SL-1000R.

It reminds me of pulling the trigger on my 2020 NSX. I remembered how much I loved my Integra, and I couldn't resist temptation.

I guess I'm the perfect example of why it is important to put out great entry level products. You can really generate a lot of brand loyalty.

And, to drag this sorta back on topic: I wouldn't have even thought of purchasing the SL-1000R had I not seen it in the Music Direct catalog today. Amazing how catalogs still inspire spur of the moment purchases!

I miss my Integra. A great, fun car. It saved my life a few times too, allowing me to maneuver through dangerous traffic situations. It felt like it was wired into my brain. I couldn't even imagine a NSX...!

Oh, on topic; my MD catalog came yesterday!

no way I’d impulse buy something that cost $190, let alone $19,000.00.

but I did receive my catalog...

went through some of it with my wife who was stunned at some of the prices.

Got mine yesterday. It's audio porn and I love it. No big purchases, but remembered I just have to have the first two Police albums on vinyl...

Got mine as well, and I'm always impressed with the effort that must go into such a beast. I look forward to flipping through it during a day off during the holidays.

I got one last year, Joni Mitchell on the cover I believe, but nothing yet this year. Nice catalog I usually keep it for a few months and eventually recycle. Last time I bought from MD was maybe 4 years ago.

Ha, there’s a good chance I still have the one from two years ago with the Beatles on the cover somewhere... this is a good reminder that I need to clear some things out... :sigh:

Fascinating to see so many artifacts of 'antiquated' technology -- vacuum tube amps, record players, cartridges and phono stages -- prominently shown for sale in 2020!
