This is an insane price.

 

Fairly sure these are being fulfilled from Amazon UK depots. I ordered last night and it arrived at 2pm today.

 

Has anybody listened to this Bob Marley cd boxset yet ?
How does it sound?

 

Considering the price, if I were at all interested in it I'd buy now (before it goes back up in price) and ask questions later.

I mean, I'm not a fan and even I was thinking of getting it.

 

If you are in the UK and want to save a little bit more then FNAC has it for €15.00 but their postage to the UK is only €4.10.

That's more expensive than Amazon. Total with postage was €18.32

 

I was quoted €5.71 for postage. Strange.

 

I was charged €3.05 for shipping yesterday, and even stranger it shipped from Weybridge, Surrey today, to arrive tomorrow! Oh and when I just checked it had gone up to €29.99.

 

It arrived this morning having never left French shores! Very slim basic box but I believe the mastering is new? A bargain for the price paid!

 

Ordered my Bob Marley CD set yesterday and it arrived this morning (UK) (Thanks for calling this one out people)

My opinion is that around £20 is right for this. I didn't expect anything great with the packaging but if I had paid much over £20 (It's £49.99 on HMV & £30.99 on Amazon UK) I would feel I had paid a little too much for what it is and would have preferred picking up one of the vinyl records where it would feel a bit more substantial.

I'd expect over time they'll be easy enough to get hold of, for an average price of £20/£25 on most sites. It's just that kind of value set to me.

I'm in no way disappointed for the £18 I paid though. It's so dark, cold and grim over here at the moment - I'm about to stick these on and bring some sunshine in to my house which will be more than worth it!

Be careful on that Marley CD. It looks like the 3-LP set (at a much higher price) has been paired with the regular 1CD on Amazon's main landing page. I don't think it's the 3CD set for 7.00 (and it certainly is not the 3LP for 7.00).

Correct. The prices on Amazon.fr (or .de, .es, etc.) are including the French VAT rate. The VAT rate for CDs or books might be different in your (EU) country and Amazon is obliged to charge the correct VAT rate for the customer's EU country. Hence, when checking out, there might be a small price difference than originally stated.

 

I don't know. That item is also sold by another French seller and shipped by Amazon Fr for €56.68. If I place it in my cart, that's what I'm paying, plus shipping.

If I order from Amazon proper, it's not €56.68 but €57.73 plus shipping.

 

If you order from the other seller, then it’s not shipped by Amazon France, but by the seller.

Amazon.de for example, have a note concerning VAT rate fluctuations, on their site.

 

I'm a little bit confused, the other seller seems to have the item in Amazon France's warehouse, according to the listing it's "expédié par amazon":

Right. That’s different. Nevertheless the differential is down to VAT.
