I actually know a couple people who trail run barefoot! Seems crazy to me, but I suppose you get used to it (and build up callouses, etc.)

I'm way too clumsy for that. Even with heavy duty hiking boots on, I've hurt my feet at times. One time I even fractured my big toe via accidentally kicking a rock (that I should have seen and not just slammed my foot straight into). I didn't realize that I actually fractured it until it had healed, and that toe/my foot right below it still gives me problems occasionally because of it . . .nothing serious, but it will get sore, start feeling "funky," cramp a little bit, etc. at times.

Yep, dreadful cover. His previous album artwork wasn’t any better.

    Actually, it was probably worse.

^^ In general I find covers disturbing that feature images of babies doing anything other than... err... being babies. Van Halen's "1984" comes to mind.

Surely his debut has a worse cover?

What exactly is wrong with this? I can definitely understand if you don't like it but it doesn't seem horrible by any stretch.

For real. Even a Pettibon flyer would’ve been better. Slip It In was pretty bad too.

From the classical side of things... This relatively-recent recording of Gustav Mahler’s unfinished 10th symphony is completely spectacular. Thomas Dausgaard conducting the Seattle Symphony Orchestra. It’s easily in the top handful of recordings ever made of this difficult piece.

So it’s a bit of a letdown that this great recording has cover art that would be embarrassing even if it was on the back side of a cassette single sleeve by a third-tier 80s Sunset Strip hair metal band.

Not sure what the intention here was, but it doesn’t do the album any favors.

No, I mean I don't get the reference to pants with a torn crotch. There is only one album I know of that features Van wearing bell bottoms, and they don't appear to be torn.

It looks like it's from the '10s-'30s, Dave hardly looks like himself and it doesn't help he's looking to the side, I can't tell if he has his neckbeard going or if there's just a shadow, and the font and color (of everything, really) is horrible. And I'm someone who doesn't have a problem with the cover of Schoolboys in Disgrace.
