One of my things i need to do is put all my albums through the Discogs app just so I can see what I have. I think almost all of my RS Records versions are the 94s
I'm sorry. Didn't know if there is a "general" Stones thread, but can someone tell me if Bill Wyman and Ron Wood are the same person, because I feel like this is one of those 80s movies where one actor is acting with himself in the same scene:
Ronnie is the guy dorking around with Mick and Keith. Bill is the guy in the background with Charlie laughing at those up front.
' Aftermath ' is a fantastic album that to this day is not appreciated enough. Their first truly great album.
When the Rolling Stones SACD Hybrid cd's were released in 2002 I bought the complete set, even though I was not really a fan of the early years. It isn't usually like me to do that because there was a lot of redundancy with the Big Hits and Hot Rocks and British/American variations but I bought them all. I am happy to own them now. The seller sent me a free t-shirt when I bought them, I have sold the t-shirt on ebay since then.
I think @lukpac gives you the choice in his faq regarding having all of the songs between the Big Hits albums and Hot Rocks. I also think he said not to get the American Between the Buttons as well.
Mick Taylor is in there all right. Above Brian Jones you'll find bass player Darryll Jones. Then above him and slightly to the right is MT with his blonde mullett and purple scarf. Looks like he's a figure in the painting hanging on the wall.
Was listening to "Casino Boogie" from Exile, the horrid 2010 remaster that sounds good through a Bluetooth speaker, heh. AND i noticed it sounds almost like Bill Wyman has a bit of the vocal along with Mick and Keith at some points in the track? Could just be a mix of the vocal layers and the accents though
all this talk of its only rock n roll (since i dont own that LP) ... is making me gravitate towards an old compilation reissue i bought when i was 1st getting into the stones as a teenager .... made in the shade .... after my smoke break im gonna spin it ... LOUD!
Great idea. I have all my records cataloged in Discogs. You can search by catalog number, find your version and just click to add it.
