    My favorite SD song is FM, that's certainly one of the all time great fades. The one with the guitar outro, not the sax version. Walter is great on that one :D:D

    A similar but great fade is the Eagles "I Can't Tell You Why", same kind of long atmospheric outro as FM

    A fairly recent one, Big Thief - Not is a great song up to the outro and bonus it ends with an epic 2 1/2 minute guitar outro.

    The last minute of "The Way I Feel by Fotheringay is epic. Great bass run, great drumming and guitars as well.

    It's an odd song structure in that the intro fades in but the the ending is a "proper full band ending.

    Stylistically it prefigures the sound of The Stone Roses by 20 years.
