Black Crowes to issue 2 cd Deluxe Edition of Shake Your Money Maker

Since I've been a long fan/admirer I'll definitely get the 3 disc version offered. I just hope they do this for the rest of the Sony based releases. Would really like to see the deluxe version of Amorica with a bonus DVD of the "Night in the Life of a Corkscrew" video they filmed, live in the studio, as an improtu promo for the release of it. Thanks to @John Fell for starting this thread and for the heads up on this release.

 

Sign me up for any performance that is described as "like the Faces." I guess I need to be out on YouTube more... so I can get in on this stuff.

The debut has always been my favorite.

 

It was a B side along with my all time fave non-album Crowes track, "Words You Throw Away".

 

Great album, Great 90s band. One of my favorite live rock acts, they always crush it in concert. The 1996 tour was my fave.

Won't be buying as I already bought this record on vinyl, cassette, and CD, but good on them for cutting loose with the material on disc 2 of this release.

As others have stated, it would have been nice of them to include a 3rd disc of live material from the very early 90s (which absolutely does exist); having said that, much of their live material has been in circulation amongst traders for decades, so perhaps they thought it might have been redundant to include it in this release.

A box with 4 discs of vinyl in for £50 would seem about right, add in some crap and charge £75, not such a good deal.

 

so there is a 3rd disc? I thought I saw somebody post a pic the other day saying it was only 2 discs with the 2nd having outtakes....I stand corrected!

 

There is a 2 cd and a 3 cd set. The 2 cd was announced first.

 

The She Talks To Angels live video version is taken from the Atlanta show so no need to duplicate . Nice it will finally be widely available again.

Oh, that's a big oversight, especially since the LP mix of that track sounds so awful.
