Looks like there's a 4 LP set. Anyone know mastering details yet? Rolling Stone article said its been remastered.

Me too. Love this album. And I’m sure this will not be a popular opinion in this thread, but this is one of those bands where I love one album to death, but haven’t really gotten into anything else from the band.

Agreed. And what I would like to see would be *complete* sets with Jimmy Page (which I don't *think* have been released?? It's been a while since I checked). Jeez, I saw the marquee at the Greek for that show and it just didn't penetrate what was up and I didn't go. [need a "kicking myself" emoji...]

SYMM was the worst of the reissues, as far as sound quality. I'll wait to hear something on the remastering before I bite on the 4LP. If I would have seen CB was involved I'd have already pre-ordered. I'm not in for another poor remaster job.

It would be nice if Mercy Sweet Moan/Live Too Fast Blues was a full version. Also a studio version of You're Wrong if there is one.

I'm in for the Target version. It's currently listed for $22.99 on their website.

Did anyone check the CD singles from this era to see what is missing from the box set?

Not specific to this release but what is the rationale for making 3 or 4 cd sets infinitely more expensive than 2 cd sets?

Hmm... I'm on the fence on this one. The album's just okay, and the bonus material doesn't seem to warrant a purchase.

Hope they do a deluxe for Southern Harmony, and that it'll have everything they recorded in the studio during that time, including a couple full live shows.

  13. I am just waiting for the SHMC boxset!!!

Wasn't the Allman brothers cover of dreams one of the b'sides from this period?

Seems to be missing lots of Good b'sides and single versions

Am not sure about this. I think the good ones that I want are on there. The "Twice As Hard remix" that some are missing is a strange remix and won't be missed at all by me.

Found it ! Live versions of 'Dreams' and 'Stare it cold' recorded at the Greek theatre on a hard to handle 12 inch.

See if you can find Dreams from One For Woody. It was an awesome night... but one thing that sticks out is Rich's solo on Dreams. Wow.

If mastered well, this could be great, just for the album alone. The original CD is not good sounding. So thin and bass shy.

I like the new cover art.

Bought the LP way back when. Doesn't look enough on here to justify picking this up for the bonus tracks. Probably not enough that'll get played twice. Tried to flog some of their CD singles last year but no takers. Might be interested in further releases provided there's enough extras.

I’ll be in for the Target version. Not preordering because the shipping cost is pretty high ($5.99). I’ll do in store pickup when it gets released. Willing to take the risk on availability on this one which is not my favorite from the band.

It was on one of the singles of the era, I just can't remember which one.

I'd be open to a new mix. I'd like to think simply remastering can help, but maybe a new mix would be best.

It's on the 1993 "Sting Me" cd-single. Not sure if it was on a single of a song actually from SYYM. So maybe it would appear on a Southern Harmony deluxe edition?
