I never saw it in my youth as it wasn't transmitted in the UK. But it must have been a very popular show.
The music stands the test of time. Here's a track from the album I bought in 1959 recorded by Shelly Manne.

I'm watching the avengers series 5 on ITV4 as well.
I really like the look, shooting style & incidental music, but it is absolutle nonsense.
Its meant to be campy, I know

  14. The Immortal 0n DVD. Too bad some older shows never got,the Blu-ray love given to Mission:Impossible or Star Trek.

MeTV has most of the old shows I am re-watching. Adam-12, Jeannie, MASH, Bonanza, Mannix, Love Boat. Love being able to see them again.

  16. Seas0n two is the corker. Really bad episodes. At least the first season had a sense of wonder about space travel, the cosmos and a unique flavor. The second season was like watching Star Trek third season except worse. To be fair, they had some good episodes in season two but it was largely a different show and not for the good.

The commercials didn't last that long on MeTV, at least not where I am, around 20 seconds or so.

Do those sets have an option to switch to the unremastered series? Or I've heard the Blu-Ray has that option IDK

  24. The series is still remastered just with original vs. redone visual effects. I can’t answer your quesri0n cause I have the Blu’ s and they are damn good.

I agree with what you said. About both series. Even so I will attempt season 2 later this year. I will say the blu-ray of Space 1999 is fantastic and a nice improvement over the DVDs.
