Coming Feb 26th. This is surely going to be one of the best NYCH records ever, so I thought it deserved its own thread. Country Home is up on the Archives site now and it’s sublime. I love Weld, but this is a whole other Horse. More like the Zuma era.

If it's as good as the "Catalytic Reaction" boot it's a classic.

I’ve been listening to this show since 1993, when I picked up the “feedback is back” 2cd boot. Quite possibly the best NY & CH show ever!

Oh, I’m in big time. But I’ll probably stream it from NYA a ton, first.

Had not heard of this. Thx for the heads up.

(EDIT: Wait, I know what this is now. This is one of the live Catalyst Club shows from 1990 that was announced about a year ago but never materialized. Had not heard of it by this title b4 now though).

There was only 1 NY show at the Catalyst in 90, he played multiple shows there in 77, 82, 84 & 96.
This will be an auto buy for me, loved this show since I had the Homegrown boot. I think Dangerbird from this show might be my favourite NY performance.

I think this is the concert that also is on the Home Grown boot on Flashback?
The best NY concert for me.
Will be great to hear it professionally recorded!

WOW, based on the unreserved LOVE for this so far--and all the BEST NY SHOW EVER Accolades, count me IN; vinyl available that day too, or coming later?

Thx for the correction. I have several Neil shows from that venue. Didn't remember the exact years. I have that Homegrown silver boot too - in a double fatboy case from Flashback Records. This is an autobuy for me too, despite having it already boot-style.

The recording in circulation so far is an audience recording, but it's simply phenomenal. They play and jam like hell. Long solos, great set list and obviously a lot of fun on the stage.
I have this concert since 1991 and am so happy to get it as a pro recording now

NY did play the Mountain House, Woodside the night before Catalyst in 90, playing a similar set, unfortunately no recording of that has ever surfaced.
I have the same double cd case, having heard the other boots of this show, I think Homegrown sounds the worst of them. It's a shame that Cowgirl will be missing from most versions of Rust Bucket, but they were changing tapes and all the songs don't fit into 2cds

Not an automatic buy for me. I'll wait for the reviews before I leap.

Is there a concert video that is going to be released with this? If so, let me guess it will only be released with the vinyl and not stand alone or with the CD version?

Yes, to get the DVD you have to buy the box that includes the vinyl and CD versions. Same material on three different formats.

    Forget it.
