  1. They did a lovely job of restoring the series.

The DVD box set only includes the episodes with the added/reworked effects (which kind of grew on me). The Blu-rays have the option of watching either the original or reworked versions.

I have the first season on Blu and then bought the DVD complete set on impulse.

Indeed, I always think of Mark Lenard as Mr. Spock senior when I see him in these.

I liked the one when he suddenly became a B17 pilot in WW2, couldn't control it and the crew thought he was messing about.
Could never find that episode again.

Been watching a lot of The Addams Family on PlutoTV.

I'd never seen the original series before, just the 90s films.

Been really, really enjoying it so far. :agree:

Tell her to imagine people who never went to school or never went past the eighth grade. Jethro completed the first 5 grades at the Oxford Elementary School in the Ozark Mountains in Arkansas. He's the most educated person in his TV family. In real life, Max Baer Jr. (Jethro), his father was a Jewish heavyweight contender that Hitler hated. He plays dumb rather well. I live in Tennessee and we have hillbillies too. Back in the 1960's some of them were not too far removed from what's depicted on the Beverly Hillbillies. Tell her that the education level in majority of the United States is well below European standards. The Beverly Hillbillies was an exaggeration but at the time it was made, not an overwhelming one.
