The naming of Twin Peaks Productions, Inc. has people speculating it may be a spin-off story of some kind. Exciting news either way.
I loved the original series, season 2 did drag a bit in the middle of the series then finished with some epic episodes. I did enjoy season 3 but it did drag out a bit. I enjoyed it nonetheless.
A little more background info, posted a couple weeks ago on the Lynchland facebook page: David Lynch Archivist - Lynchland
Wish he’d do a new TwinPeaks series. I’ve started watching the original series again( didn’t watch it real time on tv) and I’m finding new things to discover with my second viewing.
The announcement was that he was planning to stop his weather reports/song of the day etc but that he has had a change of heart and will be carrying on..... This may mean that he was thinking his new show would be starting to shoot soon but has now been delayed? Who knows.
I don't think was going to shoot til May but could be entering pre-production. He's tight-lipped about projects.
I’ve always thought that Lynch’s work is just a rorschach test. He comes up with strange ideas and leaves it up to the audience to attach meaning to them.
I think that Cooper realized that he had returned either before the events of Twin Peaks (like way before) or much much later. Heck, he could have stumbled into an alternate reality where none of this occurred. It’s Lynch you will never get a firm answer.
Also bear in mind what happened to Phillip Jeffries... he could time travel as well, but apparently couldn't control where he'd emerge on a time line. - Kevin
