    I did the same thing 8 years ago, except to see Tony Orlando. We ended up having the time of our lives. I'd had a few pops and yelled out that it was her bday and Tony stopped everything, asked for her name, and led the entire crowd in singing her Happy Bday.

    Agree. Karen's voice is wonderful, and as far as this thread is concerned, I don't think music gets any softer than the Carpenters.

    They made a radical statement by covering "Anarchy In The UK" on the "Sloppy Heart" single. The owner of the record store played it for me and made a sale/fan-for-life on the spot!

    The music is like a lullaby. The lyrics are very sardonic/acidic. Best of both worlds!
