My system details are in my profile. I have Vandersteen Treo CTs now and want to make a meaningful upgrade. The amplifier is Boulder 1060. My long time dealer suggests Tannoy, MBL or Focal. While I have personally heard all three, I wonder if our brethren here may have other suggestions. Budget would be no more than $15,000, which believe it or not is pretty limiting. The really great ones are all much more expensive. I could consider used if in perfect condition.

My sound preference is neutral, with as much resolution as possible, as little distortion as possible, and truly full range.

    Catcher10 I like records, and Prog...duh

In that range there are a ton of speakers to chose from, problem is being able to audition them.....These look hyper-interesting at 35Hz-23kHz 94dB sensitivity made in Austria.

This is probably way out of left field, but I have always badly wanted a pair of B&W 801D and if I had your budget (or even half of it), I'd snap up a pair without hesitation. They're the only speakers I know of where Stereophile specifically warns users of their prolific bass power. Also they look cool.

You might want to take a look at the new Dynaudio Contour 60i. They are not particularly sensitive and like a lot of power, which of course your Boulder has in spades.

With that budget, perhaps some Wilson Sabrina's, or Harbeth M40.2's.

At $15,000, neutral/natural ... I’ll go for Wilson Audio. Harbeth M40 can also be considered.

It may not be your final choice but need to listen to what ATC offers. I think their ATC SMC50/100/150 fits very well in to what you are looking for.

Already mentioned above, but the Spendor Classic 100 would be fun.

I forget which Revel is in that price range, the Studio 2, I think. Worth checking out if your nearby dealer carries them.

I don't expect you to take my recommendation very seriously but I cast a vote for JBL's L82 or L100. I'm extremely impressed but I'm still very much honey-mooning.

I went with the GoldenEar Triton Reference.

After a few months, I noticed that Stereophile rated them as full range Class A.

My dealer is talking to me about brand new Tannoy Canterbury GR... I can only imagine what that 15 inch driver would do with so much power from my Boulder amplifier.

Your dealer is smart. Ask if he has any JBL 4367s.
