Apparently, this is a Canada-wide thing. Certain countries cannot ship to us via air mail, and sea mail is getting stuck at the border.
It's at least a week more for goods to cross from the US in some cases because of the customs backlog — and Canada Post itself is way behind.
You know it's bad when even Amazon can't get the new McCartney album for release for two more weeks, and that's a standard edition CD!

I must say - after all the aggravation of waiting for this thing, I think it is fantastic. $80- ? What a deal.

The Seeds box was by far and away my favourite music release of the year. Thank you Curt and Roly for (still) brightening my days.

    i'm late to the party.

but it's not my favorite album.

i guess its getting harder to find now.
i've heard all the tracks digitally so there won't be anything new.

maybe i'll check out the book.

found a good deal on a sealed copy, which is about the same
as retail price. because it looks like other copies are going for much
    more nowadays.

i'm sure they'll repress more copies, once the initial batch sells out.

I need to revisit that album.

Last night I played the 5.1 Seeds again and it sounds great! :righton:

    Still awful.
I checked a sample, looks like it uses the old US 12 track mastering. Couple points better than the Euro

It sounds basically the same as the old (US) version. But I'm very happy it's available for people to stream again. We can't do anything about the sound, but the music on it is just wonderful.

Interesting being a Euro/French outfit they were able to choose the US. Lesser of the evils, good for them

It was on different labels in different places. They signed with new management that's US-based so it makes sense the US version would be the one they'd license. It's a happy accident...it literally could've been someone at Azoff Management tracking down someone's CD and ripping it, and that's how that version ended up on streaming for all we know.

Lucky for us, although i hope the two bonus tracks resurface eventually as well (and the remixes of "Closest Thing To Heaven").

I don't think it's an accident. The US mastering is what was done by Stephen Marcussen & approved by the band. I have a sneaking suspicion the additional compression on the EU mastering passed the band by.

Though I do wonder about the bonus tracks... speaking of which, the remixes are on Spotify (but not those of Call Me Mellow & ELAHE). I made this Spotify playlist for things that are not on deluxe editions: Tears For Fears - Rarities, a playlist by JulesRules on Spotify

Notice that Laid So Low & Floating Down the River are also conspicuously absent...

That's possible. I wasn't really aware of TFF in 2004 so I didn't really find out about that album until later. I don't know if Secret World has ever been available in most places. Looks like there's an entry for it but who knows what the rights status is, considering it was a one-off for a random French label: https://open.spotify.com/album/0nA3SpXOqv1ePIxndRYHWJ

I keep waiting for a standalone "keepsake" booklet and a standalone Blu-ray of the original album.
That's all i'm interested in right now.
No need for a 4 CD of brickwalled sound.
